I like the Ehab Tawfik of the 90s and the first two years of 2000, after that I no longer recognize this Egyptian pop star. Not sure what went so wrong so fast with this once larger than life entertainer.
The Ehab Tawfik formula was pretty easy--an album with 8 tracks 6 happy go dance songs, and two slow melodramatic songs that are chosen carefully. The album of this guy used to be the album of the summer and people race to the store to buy it.
Now this is not his fault, we now have the internet, no one buys albums, and there are droves of new voices. But at least to me he strikes me to be lacking his identity. He is unsure where to go next. He wants to be conservative and do good songs, but he also wants to be hip-Wael Jassar managed to do that.
There's also the fact that Ehab is now a father and he has peaked so his songs tend to be darker than his past. Like in his new song ana "I", a song about life and losing the one you thought was in love with you. It's not too late Ehab, you can find a really good songs that will help you stage a comeback where you will bring sexy back
