Many individuals, organizations and states are concerned over the situation in Syria. More recently, it seems the largest Palestinian refugee camp in that county has been placed under siege. Yarmouk Cam. After rebels seized control of Yarmouk in December 2012, the camp became embroiled in the armed fighting taking place across Syria and came under heavy regime assault. Regime forces eventually encircled the camp and in July imposed a siege on the camp, leading to a rapid deterioration of living conditions.
One Palestinian songstress had a concert in Ramallah during which she dedicated a song for the besieged camp. It's a dark and sobering song about the grim reality facing the residence of that camp. This is the first time she performs this song, I leave you with Dalal Abu Amneh, one of the most talented and versatile voices in Palestine. It's a clever choice since many Palestinians are concerned about the welfare of their brethren in Syria.
I do not know if a song will change much, but it puts current event and the national mood in an easy to digest form.
