Where Tamer Ends and Karim Mohsen Begins

Two years ago Tamer Hosny shared the mic with a relative unknown Karim Mohsen in their song Bahebek Moot . Fast forward to 2010 now the English rapping Karim Mohsen has a career of his own courtesy of Tamer Hosny and his label with Alam Alphan, the Egyptian music production company that never says no to Tamer, their most prized asset. To begin with the looks, both singers are sporting goatees, both dressed in the same clothes and both have the same gestures.

Karim Mohsen has a music video out this week and of course Tamer was there in the video, but it was really tough to tell who is the star of the song....I know Karim is supposed to be the guy delivering the song, but Tamer the alpha male he is also dominates the music video. It's a love song where Karim can be seen crying for his woman whom he cannot seem to forget.

I hate to be harsh on a new star as creative as Karim, but really? whatever happens to being a man? A woman does not need a cry baby....they need a man...you take things in stride...you do not cry everything there is trouble in paradise. But this is not you alone, it's an entire generation of Tamer wanna be singers who are too in touch with their emotions. Grow up guys and let's stop crying and try to call it cool. Life is tough and there not much room for pretty boys who want to shed tears all the time.

The rain, the style and the car has no place in this music video! Karim seems to really want to copy Tamer's style and even his gestures. His voice is sort of different of Tamer's but I am hoping to see him stand alone in his next music video...sure Tamer will help in the marketing. Karim looks like a badass, so it's not a best use of his looks in the making of this music video...he should have his own style...Tameran still appear in his music videos. Use the Eminem model with his Rhianna song.

the last thing the Arab world needs is another Tamer Clone, there are dozens of those and none of them have garnished any success. Karim is an accomplished musicians as he wrote the music for two hit songs Wa3ad 3alaya by Zeezee Adel, and Irta7 we Ray7ny by Carol Saqr.
