Nour Einy, Nour 3iney is the movie Tamer should get an award for, he really toped his own word and past mostly silly, romantic movies.
Tamer Hosny’s best movie was the one he released few months before the Egyptian revolution, right before he lost a lot of his fans and generated new breed of haters. I doubt he will make a movie as good as this movie. It was just earth shattering performance. The cast was all fresh faces, none of those old geezers doing the same part in a million movie (Mostafa Hosny, Lutfi Labeeb)
The movie was great for those reasons
- It was a new story, not one that he has done a million time, a fresh story with great script. there was a story of family, brotherhood, illness, friendship and romance.
- There are some acting, not behaving! He worked hard on it and it showed.
- Tamer Hosny was only part of the movie, he was not the guy whose the entire focus of the movie, there are others who got a fair share of screen time and got to say some awesome lines. I enjoyed the chemistry with his brother and buddy.
- It was focused on innocent love, there was no sexual references--minimal
- The film crew were top notch, and they actually took some awesome shorts of the film. It was filmed like a cool action movie, but focused on individuals
- Tamer enlisted the help of his friends who added to the movie, I am talking of Karim Mohsen and Hoss, they were right for the parts.
- It seems that the filmmakers went out of their way to find some great stylist who provided some fine outfits and dresses.
- Menna Shalaby was nothing short of stunning, she owned the part and was a delight to watch and see throughout the movie.
- Twists, twists and story progression keeps you guessing and keeps.
- The songs were good, not terrible or getting in the way of the story.
So, as someone who is harsh on all things Tamer, I am glad I got to see the movie and frankly enjoy it on a Saturday evening.
