Sami Yusuf, the soft spoken Muslim singer and pop icon who stand as the number one selling singers who releases Muslim themed songs. A British import that has made it big in Europe, North America and in every and each Muslim nation. Sami Yusuf is a brand that inspired a dozen of imitators and other copy cats who took their cue from Sami.
While many of his imitators are not that known, few have actually done well and gave us good music, we wrote about some of them here. Sami refuses to take backseat to no one and he is out to serve the cause. When the Earthquake hit Pakistan, he released a track and donated all the proceeds to charities. When Gaza was under attacks was sang for them.
Now as Egypt celebrates the 19 days of stand off that brought down Mubarak and his regime, he was there to share the moment. While most of the protests happened in Tahrir Square, the artist had a song few years ago that was filmed in Tahrir Square and he was crossing the now infamous arena like rotenda (Video is below). Here is his unofficial video for the hit track I'am Your Hope that comes in handy as hope is all around Egypt and the rest of the Arab and Muslim world.
