No Kisses on Egypt's Televsion

It's Now Official! No Public Display of Affection on the Egypt State TV Network. Alrabiya reports that instructions were issued to the employees working at the various networks in Egypt to censor and intimate scenes from movies, films and other TV material. While I am happy about this decision, I fear they might over do it.

This is good news becasue Egypt does not have a rating system for starter, so children can be watching adult material on live TV at noon. Here in America and other places, some material is not permitted to air before 10 PM-by the time the children are long sleeping.

Nile Cinma, Family and Child network, and Nile Live. It seems that that military Council who is in charge of Egypt for the time being has approved the measure and contunies to consider shutting down the ministry of propaganda (media). I am sure a lot of people in Egypt are pleased with this measure as they want to keep their homes clean. I understand if some are also upset by it.

I am also hoping this will send a message to those various networks that focus on pornographic material to get attention. Of courses there are various talents like Tunisian Sandy who has made a career of making naked appearances in TV and music videos. Not to forget the very pro Mubarak Ghada Abel Raziq and low life singer Saad al Soghayer.
