The One Serious Palestinian Singer

It has been a long time since 2005 when Ammar Hassan, the Palestinian singer almost won Super Star competition. The boy from the refugee camp has his voice and it's a very strong one indeed. He does a wide range of songs, from romantic soft ones and nationalistic songs. He was never the hot boy or that guy you see endorsing products because of his cool hair. But his voice is his brand.

But Ammer in his latest combine both styles and gave us a very touching song with a sweet melody and his tender voice, your moved. Ammar who has a very pleasant voice that the singer knows well how to manipulate to make it fit.

Mariam, is the song about Palestine and the Arab revolution about Egypt and Tunisia, about anything you want, but most of all it's about Gaza, the West Bank, Jerusalem and the Muslims and Christians who have been sharing the land.

I was expecting a mushy song, but this is a real song, Ammer worked on his emotion that he channels through his words, the track includes some chants from freedom and ending the occupation. So Ammer who has been absent for couple of years make a good comeback that will welcome him again to the list of mainstream Arab entertainers with a brain.
