Carole Samahe Covers Salwa Katrib

So you know how much respect this music blog has for Lebanese singer Salwa Katrib "Qatrib", so when we hear a singer wants to do a cover song of hers, we get excited and want to check it out. I came to know Salwa Qatrib through the covers of Ramy Shamaly the late Star Academy participant that passed away in a tragic accident. So we live covers, they give a tribute to legends we have not witnessed or have not paid attention to.

This time Carole Samahe who loved the oldies, she is currently working on her role as Sabah is back making an album covering old songs with her voice. Sure Carole has the voice it takes, but I am afraid her performance of this song lacks the original emotions attached to the Salwa Katrib.

This song is not about charisma, it's about feelings and being a dreamer and most of all convincing the listener that you really believe the lyrics of the song. I just did not feel it with Carole Samahe. Not sure what Romeo Lahoud the original musician lyricist thinks of this cover.
