This Singer/songwriter posses a distinctive and spiritually uplifting vocal style. He composes his own songs combining the North African musical tradition with the Western one to produce a unique sound. 'Sahar', Saad's first album with Awakening Records will be released later this year inshaAllah.

Saad Chemmari was born in 1980 in Casablanca, Morocco. He grew up in a household of Literature and art, his father being a published poet and novelist whose work was published in the Moroccan newspapers. Though he had early leanings towards painting and poetry, Saad found himself irresistibly drawn towards music. Thus from a young age he began to sing and compose his own songs.

I can certainly hear the influence of Moroccan music and style throughout the performance of Saad. This is a talented young man who has a great voice and works to get a positive spiritually uplifting message. I hope there is a market for this type of music becasue it gives a lot of people some peace.
