Adel Imam Will He Manage A Comeback?

So most Egyptians are unhappy with Adel Imam, the legendary Egyptian funny man and actor who was linked to the Mubarak regime and had some harsh words to say about the protesters in his country. Ade; topped any black list for celebrities backing Mubarak and of course his friendship with the regime, the sons of the president did not exactly help.

But by sheer luck it seems that his next project is the TV drama about a retired Egyptian army officer who plans to rob an Israeli bank by assembling a team of Arab experts to pull off the heist. "Firqat Najy Attallah" Najy Attallah Squad is that project. The TV project has been filming in Turkey, Egypt and many other places to make it look believable. Of course Turkey will fill in for Tel Aviv.

It seems like a good plot that most Arabs and particularly Egyptians will enjoy as the teaser is out now, it seems that Adel Imam is going for the gold. will anyone watch? Adel Imam is harder to bury that individuals like Tamer Hosny whose enemies are many. We will find out this Ramadan is this drama will be a hit.

He is working hard to make nice with the people of Egypt by walking back on his support for the Mubarak regime as he has been issuing statements that he has been mislead by the regime and he was unaware of the wide spread corruption in the government. He has also been saying that his legacy with the people will enable them to forgive him. On another front Nicole Saba, the Lebanese starlet has come to his defense asking the people to forgive him for his less than canny comments about the revolution. Nicole got her biggest break in Egypt by working with Adel Imam.
