Wael Kfoury vs. Tamer Hosny Army Service

Everyone knows Egyptian singer dodged the draft, and delayed his army service for a long time, and he was caught in a ring forging documents that he has served in the army of his country when he did not. We was jailed and had to do time in the army. It was funny to see the man who sang for Egypt has not served time serving the same land he asks others to love.

but before him there is another big Arab singer Wael Kfoury who had to serve time in the Lebanese army and this guy was proud to do the time serving his beloved country. It was a win-win because some of the best songs by Wael Kfoury were about his time in the army serving his country and being away form his loved one.

see these two touching songs by Wael in the early 90s about his time with the army, some fine songs those are indeed. His presence in the army helped give free PR for the army in his country and made it hip as this perceived to be a soft dude went on and served in the army and sang about it.

This offers a great contrast between one guy who chose to serve his country and another who chose to hide his lack of service. Unlike say Mohammad Foad and Mohammad Mouni two iconic Egyptian singers who have served their country with honor, tamer still justified his bad choices.
