The Internet Killed Samira Said

Pioneering singer Samira Said came from Morocco, settled in Egypt and made one hit after another, she was the girl of pop that can also sing and get you in the zone. She managed her image and style so well that she manged to stay afloat for years when others are falling behind. I do not think we can blame age for the disappearance of Samira, what she needs is a strong comeback with one hit single that gets picked up organically

But since 2005, it seems this diva has lost it all. Not a single decent song came from this lady of pop. I think the internet killed her, and the lack of good lyrics coming her way have made it harder to get by. And yes, there are droves of young singers who want a slice of the fame pie.

I know Samira can sing and has few hits up her sleeve, but not away of any other projects she has coming up. I have not even read about her concerts--if they happen and I do not read about them--this is a problem. well, at least until she makes a comeback, we can remember her with this spunky music video.
