Gilbert Simon has just releases something weird. A song in English performed in Arabic style accompanied by Arabic lyrics yet making little sense in English. But this is not the first time Gilbert does this kind of music. He made it before on Star Academy.

For starter his music videos are funny, but the songs are the most fun, as they sound like a country song made for Arabs or watered down for someone with dyslexia.

Who is This guy? For starter he is one Lebanese Franco-Armenian Artist who has been in the business for more than 9 years as a performer and composer. Joined by Tony Debner from Chicago IL, USA, on Drums; Alan T. from Beirut, Lebanon, on Lead Guitars; and Moe Kutkut from Amman, Jordan, on Bass. Also Including a few additional musicians on: Synthesizers, Violin & Trumpet... The GILBERT SIMON Band was complete and ready to be unleashed upon the world.

The band gave Rock 'n' Roll a new twist delivering high notes and cutting edge tunes making their live performances a crowd screaming frenzy giving people the chance to get up on tables and bars to shake and groove to the Funky sound of the band. Funky is funny does.

Gilbert strikes me as the banksy of Arabia, putting together a lot of things that don't make any sense alone, but once assembled they bring out what later is identified as art with high value.
