Arabic Movie Made For Non-Arabs

Call is orientalism, call is stereotype, but it seems to me, every movie Egyptian cinema makes is either geared toward the idiots in that country or the ones who hate it. Very few movies fall in the middle area. So you can either sing and dance in the streets, or have insane sex and cock fights.

This is the gist I am getting from this new Independent Egyptian movie with a large cast of seasoned Egyptian actors-there's the Lebanese Cyrine Nour. The leading men have all appeared on starred in American movies. Omar Sherif, Khalid Al Nabawy, Amr Waked have all done their fair share of local movies too.

This movie seems about an old man going back to the old country in search of his son whom he had with another women at their young age.
