In Post Mubarak, Black Theama Is BUSY

Mubarak is gone, Black Theama has been making music for about half a decade, but the good band has not been given a break until the former president has left the office. The band that has always wrote songs for and about the people and their struggles has finally been granted their wish.

They are touring all around Egypt, universities, colleges, events all want to pick this variety band that strives to make original music about relevant topics. It seems that Black Theam will be performing live again in Saqyat Al Sawy, the hip Egyptian cafe/lounge where the entertainers and intellectuals like to party and kick back.

While Black Thema has done concerts there just in the past month, they will be doing two live shows, the first Sunday of May. A Dutch band "Tango Extermo" will appear in the show. It seems that the revolution has turned its back on pop singers in favor of retro upbeat indie bands that make real music and not merely want to figure new ways to say "Baby I Love You"
