Speaking of ladies that can rock, here's the mother of them all, Tunisian singer Latifah, the first lady of Tarab music that took Egypt by storm in the very late 80s, 90s and well into the 00s. Luckily, she is still kicking it around the block, but the times has changed, live concerts in places like Egypt are hard to come by.
Thus Latifah hanging low--not much artsy stuff in Tunisia either, I had to go back to 2003 when Latifah was fresh of a serious of pop hits that were all about dance, but slowing down is not a problem, she can change gears and switch from pop to slow sobering music.
This is the real deal, check out the stage and the nice fancy dress she is sporting. This was a concert for Egypt's number Al jumoryah newspaper. I wish I was there, it looks like the elite of the community have turned out for this concert.
