Aly Hussain came from the deep Egyptian South "Aswan" to show us that he has what it takes to be the voice worthy of Egypt. Naturally, he is the voice that has been compared to the Egyptian rocker Mohammad Mounir. This is about Aly Hussain who made me a fan in an instant becasue I heard his voice and was able to feel his words coming from the gut, words coming from the heart.
In all his songs Aly seems to be chasing joy and his latest music video Oloob Al Nas is no different, he is looking for joy in the hearts of the people who seem to have forgotten how to be happy and how to be in love. The young voice rides a boat around his town showing us the beautiful landscape. Then he takes a minute to play on screen lover boy. The fun fact is that the model you see in the music video, is just a tourist who asked to take a picture with Aly who then asked her to be on his music video. I like this voice becasue it is where Arabia meets Africa, where both cultures come into play and both are treated as equals.
first, I enjoyed the colorful local band he used as a chorus. Second, I liked how he paid a tribute to the Egyptian iconic voices that also come from the same regions Aly comes from. You see Abanoudy, Moneeb and Mounier in the lineup and then comes Aly who is hoping to become a star of his own. By all accounts, Aly does not have a lot of resources at his disposal so he made a delightful music video with what little he had.
