After more than a year in delays and trouble in production and release of her latest album Ma'arfish Leeh, that's "I do not know why", this is the album that includes at least three great songs even before the release of this diva's album...so here comes our review of Nawal's album and it's a golden one indeed worthy of this starlet history and stardom. Note, we have the links to most of the songs so that you can hear them for yourself.
- 3andak, Egyptian pop style song, very good vocals and cheeky style from Nawal who we all know does not allow anyone to cross the line or disrespect her. I came to love the lyrics and the concept. Nothing better than a female that knows she is worth it, and Nawal brings it on.
- Alf aw maya, a favorite on the album, new meanings and a new subject explored in a fresh way, the dude who chases tale and knows so many girls. Nawal puts this guy on trial using her Lebanese style. She really nailed this pop song that leaves a good impression with you and put the playboy to shame. Great Job! I think the music could have been better here.
- bed2e2a w Belswany, pop song, slower about the past and what was. Nawal is counting the time by the second about her love all the sweet memories it brings to her. A mature song that only those who loved will understand, glad they still make them.
- Fo2 Jrou7e, the most intimate song by the starlet, about broken homes and failed love where someone tries to screw the other over. the darkest song on the album, very few singer have explored this theme before, but no one can outdo Nawal becasue this is a real song, she is living this quietly. Fo2 Jrou7e Delivered with agony in the voice in purpose putting the other person at fault to shame.
- Golha, another Gulf dialect where Nawal shines where other stars have recently failed. Nawal is not stranger to Gulf music, the sweet poetry and lyrics have always drawn here to it. Slower than most recent Gulf songs, but entertaining and fresh.
- Ha2olak Eih, fast paced track, there is some DJ work here, so you will hit the dance floor and move it, I love this song because the beat gets you going, you want to go out there and run. Lyrics are a bit tired, but the music saves it.
- Hona El Kahera, WOW! I cannot believe someone else did not sing this song before? Nawal does magic with this song, simple storyline about walking down the line river with your habib. The most lovable song that will last for long ion Egypt and elsewhere becasue it's not about materialistic world, it's about love for less.
- Ma3rafsh Leh, aromatic and charming song that Nawal excelled in. You feel the bubbles and the rainbows play as this song play...the most flavorful song just like beginning of every relationship, when you are in love and just want to live every instant becasue it's so cloud nine and nothing else matters.
- Mon 3aniah, we heard this song as a single, it's a song meant for all Arabs, but using the Gulf Dialect which is essential in nowadays music business. I like the pride and confidence Nawal exhibits here, the way she talks about her hubby. Again great lyrics here delivered in perfect style the fuses gulf beat with more modern musical elements. This has already been filmed and released an breakthrough music video (Mother earth!) with late director Yehya Saade.
- Ya Raye7, Nawal is back with her own style, again here you remember her older better work. Nothing wrong with a flaming Lebanese song that brings out the best in Nawal's vocals.
- Youm Elly Meshy, put your slow dance face one, sweet vocals meet soft and delicate lyrics delivered by a sweet broken heart. this is a bittersweet song about the mental burdens of love and those caught in its webs.
- Amana, we heard this sweet song before and loved it, it's meant for the dance floor, some beautiful words are crafted here and Nawal channels her own voice all the way from the 90s.
