1993 Assi El Helani Concert Video

So he has a mustache and wore a suit, but not much has changed, he still have the rocker persona. He is a bigger name than before and has seen many lands and many countries, back in 1993 was working hard to break into the mainstream music circles. He did that in 1995 and ruled the world of Lebanese music till 2005.

Ever since 2005, Assi has not seen the big success as many young stars keep challenging him on his own turf. I name Fares Karam and not so young Mohammad Iskandar who do similar songs. But none of these guys did pop as Assi did. No one of them have traveled farther than Assi.

Does Assi have anything new to give? I am not sure, it seems not, but I would be happy to see something fresh and big from Hillani, before he leaves the scene on a big note. But before he does that I hope he stops singing for the kings and presidents of Arab countries becasue none of them is worth anything.
