Where Did This Goerge Al Rassi Go?

A decade and a half ago, a young singer with a golden voice emerged to the Arabic radio scene with a song so popular that told us there is a new champ in town, there is a new A list singer. And it goes he first album was pure gold and it sold thousands of records and made people happy. Saher A Leel was the it song of the summer of 1995!

Then his second album was average, it sold big, but it was not what we thought it would be. His Jay Ti3tizer was the most dramatic song for that year and it was a prescription for the broken heart. The song exploded and went all over the place, the dudes and the ladies with a broken heart found themselves in this song of his.

However ever since then George started losing footing in the market and opted out for singles, he released a dozen of them and they were mostly good. But this Lebanese singer never managed to capitalize on his success commercially by doing concerts...etc. Maybe his style of music is not the party intense music.

I love Al Rassi and I do not think he is a replacement of George Wassouf, the iconic Syrian singer who tend to cover style of music similar to Al Rassi's. He does have a good voice and a very mature singing style. But it seems he has a lot of die hard fans who tune in to his work, but the by all mean at this point he is not a household name.
