Ashraf Zaki, The Tugs Made Me Do it

I do not know much about Ashraf Zaki, the former leader of the actors union in Egypt. But I know he was in a tough place. He led a protest to support Mubarak, other actors and celebrities including soccer players turned out for this pro Mubarak support. But the anti-Mubarak protest for the actors was much larger. Khalid Al Sawy, the Egyptian actor called for that one.

Ashraf Zaky called for the Mubarak rally and picked a fight with Khalid Al sawy for organizing a protest without notifying him. As far as I know, Mr. Zaky never condemned the anti-Mubarak rally. And has maintained that his disagreement is not being informed about it. We also know that the Mubarak government was ordering their supporters and other officials to organize pro Mubarak rallies.

I am inclined to believe the story by the Ashraf Zaky, even if you look at his footage from the pro Mubarak rally, the former leader looks uncomfortable and he looks like he does not want to be there. He did however hold a picture of Mubarak which he just said in his interview that he was made to carry this picture by one of the tugs. I have no ill feeding toward Ashraf, he might as well like Mubarak, but he never incited violence or defamed the protesters.
