I think it was the year 1997 and Ihab Tawfi was one of the lead male voices on Arabic TV and music. ART, the Arabic Satellite network was gaining a foot into this new global network of entertainment and they were the pioneers who worked to get us the early gems of Arabic music videos.

Ihab Tawfik was the golden boy of Arabic pop and there was nothing he could not do or say. He had this really epic song of his that was heavy dose of heartache. Man loves girl, they go to college and fall in love. They get t o know each other and make promises. In the background, there is another guy who happens to like the same girl.

Ihab travels abroad to make some money so that he can afford a wedding. He comes home and guess what? You have to watch the music video for that. It's by far one of the finest songs by Ihab Tawfik throughout his career. I know it made me want to cry and I know half a dozen of ladies who did cry.
