It Was 1992! Write an Email

We just have gone through the Gulf war and things were changing in the Middle East, the Palestinians were negotiating with Israel leading up to Oslo a year later. We had just left the UAE and headed back to Palestine. My older brother was about to get married and his wife loves three singers Ihab Tawfik, Mostafa Amar, and Amr Diab. So at their engagement party these guys graces the 1990 boom box.

Here is the music video from Ihab Tawfik smashing hit song Maraseel....in which he is writing an letter to his loved one telling her of the pains of the distant. Why not just write an email? poke her on Facebook? Text massage her? or just IM the poor woman.

I love the fashion of Ihab, he looks a lot like my older cousin back at the time. Forget makeup artists and heir stylists, just wash up, shave and you are ready for a music video. Simple days, now life is a lot easier, yet a lot more complicated. In the last 30 seconds of the music video, there is the stocky post man who shouts Ihab's name to give him a letter.
