Labanon: One Country, a Million Politician

Zain El Omar (Zein Al Omar) seems to live on a different romantic planet until this week. He let his inner Lebanese out and delivered this passionate sarcastic song about politicians in his country who seem to have agreed not to agree on anything. This is a song that puts politicians to shame as they argue over trivial issues and dividing their people in the process.

If you have been following the news in Lebanon, there is a rife between the parties there over the Hariri Assassination Tribunal, Hezbollah weapons and other issues. There is a current government, but there is another government in the making as coalitions and interests are changing by the hour.

Ziad Boutros, the always resourceful and creative composer put the music to this track. Ziad has always remain close to politics and has always sent massage through his music to Arab politicians. So this is a new collaboration between two voices who come from different background yet share one thing, the love of country.
