Hana Malhas, Indie Music's Arab Chick

It's not easy to label Hana Malhas, just when you think you finally have figured her style out, she gives you something new that makes you question the way you have defined her and her music. She is an indie spirit that transforms as she feels the need to.

In her Borderless Indie style she seems comfortable in in between generas. Lounge music and American folk inspired music with an incredible pop accessibility, offering both deep lyrics and a showcase of flexibility vocal chords

Currently living in Dearbon Michigan and soon to be seen in an Arab American concert "Global Thursdays at the Arab American National Museum: Arab American Comedy and Music" This Jordanian global citizen whose performances in Amman and the States are nothing to be missed. But her presence on the internet is the one that's making waves for this chick that's the most loyal to folks music.

If you want something more, check out her 2010 debut album "Shapeshift"--the fruit of the labor of at least 17 different American and Jordanian artists. My money says, 17 talented musicians cannot be all wrong to bet on this delightful folksy lady.
