Youssef Chahine Was Gay, Says Omar Sharif

These two guys know each other too well and have worked together on a number of projects. They are the most famous icons of Egyptian cinema for the past half a century. So that's why when Omar Sharif says that the late provocative Egyptian filmmaker Youssef Chahine is homosexual, you kind of think about it seriously.

The time of this revelation about the sexuality of Youssef Chahine is confusing specially as more documents are being leaked for the former Egyptian security that kept files on everyone and tried to blackmail celebrities. Sharif said that he did not want to work too much with Chahine as he seems to have turned a number of his projects down. That I believe, when you are too busy in Hollywood, why settler for less?

Omar Sharif was quoted to have said, "Youssef Chahine asked me on many occasions to sleep with him," "Every time I turned him down" said Sharif. While I do not question Sharif's quote if they are true, then there must be a story to tell. There must be others who know of this attraction and I am guessing we will soon find out more about this interesting matter. (more)
