There are a thousand person in Egypt that can entertainer and perform a song. There are fewer who can actually sing and hit the right notes without music to disguise their weeks voices. Blame bad parenting for telling their kids they are stars and they can do anything they want.
Now back to Rania Naguib, a new Egyptian voice debuts in Ramadan with a song about the Muslim pilgrimage to Mecca. I was impressed by the song like many in Arabia. Now that she has been singed with Pause 1 a new much production company in Egypt, you know you will get to hear and see more of this lady of pop.
Rania is doing the media rounds to showcase her voice with covers of Arabic classics. I like how much emotions she can accompany her voice with. You can tell she has a good sense of humor and she really has what it takes, the personality, the looks and most of all the voice.
Rania sort of happy for the revolution and she confesses that during the Mubarak regime, songs were a bit more silly than now. She also rightfully argues that the revolution has given the young people of Egypt a chance to shine. No longer the business was exclusive for members of the ruling party.
