Ahmed El Rouby, The People Revolt

One of the upsides of the Egyptian revolution is the large number of songs released to mark the fall of the Mubarak regime. Many household names singers released songs, and dozens of new singers has recorded songs to celebrate the moment and the history making event. Sure they also take part of history when they have their voice commenting on it fifty years later when they are telling the stories to their offspring.

The latest Egyptian singer to release a song is Ahmed El Rouby, a man with good voice, but great convictions about the country and its people. In the people revolt he commented what was going on the minds of the millions of protesters who took to the streets. In that he does a good job explaining why they felt compelled to make history together. The fallen are not forgotten either.

Ahmad has just the right voice to sing this song and move you, it plays like a war song like the hero is ready to take out the bad guy and as he is walking to the hiding place of the low life, this song should play.

Ahmed El Rouby - Thawret Sha'b / أحمد الروبي - ثورة شعب
