Tamer Ashour is one of the most underrated entertainers in Arabic music, not sure why he does not get a fair amount of media coverage. He is an all around musicians that over the years has varied his style and branched out to new styles from the blues to the happy lover. But never before has he presented a dance song.
His album was "Leya Nazrah" released during the Egyptian revolution against this will of course, I am not sure if it got play in Egypt, it was released in the Gulf market. He was upset as his album was supposed to be a good one--that's what you get when you work hard on something that you enjoy.
We reviewed the album here and were impressed by many tracks on it, Tamer Ashour has done it again, and brought a decent album that offers good lyrics, catchy music, and a stellar performance. While we liked many songs, one of those songs will be around for some time. It's so not Tamer Ashour style, but he did it so well. This is a happy dance song yet with a dark themes about giving up. We like this song and think it will be a hit in the Arab market. I bet Tamer is already thinking of a way to film a music video.
