The coolest boy band in Arabia will always be UTN1. While there has been a surge in boy band most recently due to the Arab Spring. In countries like Egypt, they have so many of those bands now, it does enrich the field and bring in new audience who have been tried of being spoon-fed the same old pop
Now, are you ready for some rock? ready some some music that can heal your soul? The band that can do just that is back! UTN1 has just released their much anticipated music video. They went all the way to the other side of the Atlantic to bring Baddy Oul. The band has already had a prime time moment when they performed on Star Academy last year. their song Jamila made the night prettier.
Directed by Ruby Malek who took a lot of crisp and lively images of the Big Apple without losing focus on the music and the band. The band manged to create a true indie label with this music video, further defining the band comfort zone and bringing in new fans. the band using the Lebanese dialect which fits naturally with their Iraqi one and Lebanon has a rich spot that seems to be in the lookout for new talents.
And those band members bring it with their swagger and near perfect vocals creative a rich feast for both the eye and the ear. I love the drum/guitar bit, that what makes this band unique--it's not just a bunch of singers--they are musicians too. An Arab garage band has really been born in Iraq in 1999.
