Asma Al Munawar, the Proud Moroccan Singer

Asma Al Munawar stardom was not seen by anyone, one day she shares the stage with Kazim Al Saher in Ashko Ayman, the next she is the talk of town about her strong voice and passion that is very clear in all her songs. Other stars can only wish to sound as good as Asma does on live performances. She simply owns every bit of her performances and draws you in closer.

In 2008, she was a best selling album where she should her true colors, covering songs in Egyptian, Gulf and Moroccan dialects and doing all those dialects justice in beautiful songs. In 2009 She had a duet with Kazim in well received song, Alma7kamah. in 2010 she released an all Gulf album Rooh, soul. In all fairness, it was a good album, but not my style.

In 2011 Asma was one of the main stars at the popular Kuwait music festival, that happened each year during the month of February. That speaks volumes of how well received her Gulf album. Aside from that the quality of Asma's voice stands the test of time, she has a talent for long Tarab style songs. Her pronunciation is truly amazing and the length at which she can hold a note is incredibly fascinating.
