Rocker Sting Speaks Up on Libya

British musician song writer turned activist took the time to express his thoughts on the change sweeping through the Middle East. Sting was in Peru and during his press conference he delivered a very good message. Sting from the band the Police needs to tell it as it's to the Libyan Dictator and his police state.

He loved Egypt and Tunisia, and wishes Libya to end the same way as those two other countries. I like the part where he talked about the complexity of the Arab world as any other society. Sting might be the first mainstream Western figure to comment on the situation in Libya. Egypt is no short on celebrity endorsement, the Libyan revolution needs all it can get.

While in 2000, Sting and Chab Mami gave us a Desert Rose unlike no other, this new democracy won't be a lonely rose in a desert. It will be a rose in what is shaping up to be a garden.
