Few Egyptian singers were as bold and as passionate as Haitham Nabil. Ever since the demonstrations started in Egypt, the young singer has been an active participant on Jan 25th and the 28th of the same month he stood with the protesters.
But before it was cool and before it was safe, Haithm the young talents singer wrote a song and dedicated to the protesters, he urged those who stay in the sideline to get involved and back the protesters up. It was a quite call for standing up, it was not angery it was logical and it largerly went under the radar. Titled Zero....
But now that the revolution was over and that the protesters have managed to get Mubarak to step down, Haitham Nabil was in Tahrir again celebrating in the festive square with the masses of people who have witnessed the transformational change. the song is about timeless Egypt that owns the moment and makes every moment an Egyptian one by seizing on the opportunity. It's a timely song and the clips, pictures tell a story of the people who wanted change and got it. Haitham's voice stands out in what is crowded season for patriotic songs.
