Awakening Record of London saw so much success upon the release of their The Best Islamic Music album version 1, that they released a follow-up less than four months after the initial release. The executive packaged songs they have already released on a number of albums from artists under their label, and put them all in a new album.
This is a popular marketing approach used in the music industry. Among the usual names, is Maher Zain, Sami Yusuf--before he left the label, Irfan Makki, Native Deen, Raef and others. Hamza Namir gets the last track. This is an album that offers something for everyone. There is no themes\e, just good music. You get rap, R&B, pop and some regional musical elements, all put together and produced for your entertainment.
I know for one, I like variety, and I like the lesser known names who have a big fight in them to make it to more listener around the world, the Awakening Record, is their best shot. It costs a lot of money to introduce an artist and make good music, some performers welcome the opportunity to be listed among other better known names in the same genre.
