Fadel Shaker News, Syria and the Lebanese Haters

You really cannot escape news form this guy. That could have been good, but so far it seems dangerous. He has even seemed to overlooked his own image, looking scruffy and looking tired.

Lebanese singer Fadel Shaker here's the stories coming about him:

  1. Last week he took part of a protest in support of the Syrian revolution, the protest was organized by Salafi--Muslims who seek traditional interpretation of Islam.
  2. All hell broke loose in Lebanon and the singers--who mostly have sided with Assad. Some threats on his life has been made as well.
  3. They called him, not Lebanese, but a Palestinian to try to get at him.
  4. He said, I am all Lebanese--my wife is Palestinian, and he would be proud if they make him Palestinian. He shared that he has grown up in the Palestinian refugee camps and has sang on the roofs of the camps. He even asked to be given the Palestinian citizenship.
  5. President Mahmoud Abbas, gave him the Palestinian citizenship today to honor him and welcome him as one of the people.
  6. Fadel shared that he has been performing and sending the money form his concerts to the aid of the people of Syria.
