A good composer knows a trick or two. Syrian Composer Malek Jandali knows a million. Using iconography, music and revolutions to sell his amazing music is the best thing a composer can wish for.
The second round of Malek's new symphonies inspired by the Syrian revolution offers home--unlike the last one that was about losing hope and faith. I have seen this scene before with a Kathem Al Saher famous song Laila where he is limping and collecting notes and poems.
I really like the back stories, they are telling and loaded with references that one needs to watch out for. Once again, the music is great as it draws on a number of musical integuments. Malek ends this piece on a bold note, the new Syrian flag and that he will not be silenced.
