The breakout artist of 2013 is certainly Donia Samir Ghanem, she chose singing as profession because she happened to have a sweet voice. she was already an accomplished actress and box office darling, but seriously, she was approached to make music by her fans...not some company that wanted to make money.
Throughout the later months of 2013, and the songs of her albums were coming out, one each month, and each song came out and shocked the fans with how Donia tops herself and changes gears from one mood to another. She did the breakup song, and the entire Arab world seemed to cry along with her. She did the funk song, and we danced along, she did the love your family song and we were all moved. Then she did the wedding song, and it felt original and real. Now comes another serving from Donia....this makes the seventh released song from Donia.
This is one of the sadder songs on her upcoming album, heartache, regrets and guilt is written all over this track. The impressive thing is the lyricists for the entire album is one and the same Amir Taiema....I like the slow and mellow music, it feels like an intimate song where we all feel wisdom after the things have already taken place. I want to see Donia hit more high notes, this is where she shines the most, other than revealing hr sensible side.
This is along track that feels like a post break up letter written by a romantic yet shattered soul, Donia does this style very well.
