Shame! Khaleejis Kill Yemenis And Sing For Them!

It's not secret that filthy rich Arabs in the UAE and Saudi Arabia are bombing Yemen to the dark ages. It's also a documented fact that many innocent Yemenis have perished as a result of this ill-fated war on that magical land that's Yemen.

Now one of the biggest artists in the Khaleej who comes from the UAE is Hussien Al Jassmi and he has a new song for the same country that his own government is bombing. Let's us not forget that dozens of good people from the UAE got killed in this war--because they suck as this war thing.

Hussain AlJassmi has also released a new song for the UAE government and army to offer them support as they wage war on the helpless people of Yemen. I have an idea for the UAE--Iran has been occupying your three islands for decades now, why not wage war on them? Or is it that Yemen is an easy target?

Hussain professes his love for Yemen and its people. But what he does not tell us is that his love means he would support them being bombed.

Arab Pop Stars Who Joined The Million Views Club!

Arab pop stars are pleased if they break the million views on YouTube, if they beat that, it's all gravy. But then there are few who reach ten million and we will never hear the end of it. But in the Arab music industry, there have been only three pop stars to break the 100 million views on the video viewing and sharing. Let's see who they are...
  1. Saad Lamjarred, the Moroccan pop star whose songs are different than what most Arab pop stars make. He does local songs from Morocco with an international mindset. And his music vidoes are so creative yet simple. He is the latest to join the club with his hit song "LM3ALLEM" It's actually a fresh breeze of pop that even impresses those who are not typically listening to Arabic music. Saad came a lone way from his days on Star Academy where he made his splash.
  2. Hala Turk, the little girl from Arabs Got Talent--she is from Bahrain and she likes to do cute songs in both Arabic and English. Since he does teen and children songs, you know she gets the views from the same household a dozen times. So if you are an Arab child, you will appreciate what Hala has been doing. I do not like that she is so concerned with singing English. If you do think you are a brat, you won't be the only one. Happy Happy
  3. Huseein Al Jassmi, this is  weird one, you get the biggest pop star from the UAE whose fans are all across the Middle East doing a song form Egypt. So a guy who grew up without democracy--but plenty of cash, singing for a cash strapped army dictator. No one denies that's a catchy tune that went viral and made last summer one big dance party. Though the composer, idiot Amr Moustafa took credit for it and many Egyptian pop got envious. "Bushrat Kheer"
How does it feel not to have one Egyptian pop star or Lebanese singer on this list? Maybe this is a humble pie. If you care about money, a 100 million views are worth $870,000! That's a lot of cash in Arabia.

Folklore! The UAE Most Manly Dance "Yola" or "Yula"

Call is, Yola or Yula dance, the most famous traditional dance from the United Arab Emirates, this is one of many danced celebrated in the local folklore....here are some footage of the dance, a manlly dance where traditional it involved a gun, a fun group of men who like to do some moves with their hands at it looks like juggling....

Swords, machine guns, and luckily now they have props and fake weapon look-alike...it seems like a fun traditional dance standing in a stunning fashion with the drums. This s a popular dance, but due to a recent win by the ruler of Dubai where his horse "African Story" took home the title..so in celebration prince Moe danced Yola

The Great Hussain Al Jassmi Blows Me Away Once More!

Hussain Al Jassmi found himself a wonderful love poem and the UAE singer turned it into a delightful song that glows! Written by the daredevil song of the ruler of Dubai prince Fazza'a!

The song sounds like a native song from the dessert....a song about things the Bedouins of that country know best, ships, pearls and love. I like Hussain in doses, but when he does a song that travels well, I feel him and I scream for more of this. Sure, he does other noise songs, but often times he has a lot to offer.

Hamad El Amry Of The United Arab Emirates

He is one of the young guns of the United Arab Emirates, he is one of their brightest vocalists whose voice glows in the dark. I love Hamad El Amry's style. I think many will attest to his amazing vocals, and I love how he subscribes to the school of the UAE folklore style--he sounds a lot similar to another popular UAE artist Mr. El Minhal....

This is powerful and passionate poem performed with a tangy voice accompanied by the lute, and this does the magic. No complex process or filters, just a good voice, with neatly-crafted poetic lyrics and soothing oud. I am now thinking this is really how the UAE song sounded to me growing up in Dubai, they are different than the rest of the Gulf....and Hamad let them aim through.

When Hussain Al Jassmi Prays, Advertisers Make Money

The millionaire singer Hussain Al Jassmi has a lot to pray about. Every Ramadan the singer releases a supplication for the season and it tends to get the prime time as all networks love to be in the business of Hussain Al Jassmi. He is the biggest pop star and Tarab star in the Gulf region but unlike many great singers in the Khaleej, he actually has huge fellowship outside of his home state.

So no wonder, his prayers is more important than yours at least for the networks. This once the artists looks inward and digs deep and shares with the world. So it comes to no one's surprise that the production on his songs come with a big price tag.

Sari And Karim Mohsen Team Up For Complicated!

The boys are back and they sound so good. Karim Mohsen teamed up with Sari on this song that will be on Sari's new album. Karim composed the music and joined the song as a feature. I like the dude's music, style and his voice.

The song gives the impression it was filmed in Dubai, it feels like a camera trick and some graphics and stock footage....The song is about falling in love and how it complicates things. Sari sounds like he is really going through this.

Then comes to the rescue the cool dude Karim to back up his buddy Sari. It's a bittersweet song from two artists who keep it interesting and worthwhile. I like both artists, there's Sari the handsome man with a soft voice and there is that Karim Mohsen, the rugged dude with force. It's a good team work, and I wish the music video was not so weak. It robes the song really. Nabil Mekawwy should go back to film school and spend more time on his music videos than on his beard.

The song it perhaps too short to connect with the listener, it creates an experience and then disappears like a flash.

Meet The Amazing Waleed Al Shami 2.0 In "Mabrouk Lel Hozn" @waleedalshami

If you had to give credit to one music force that helped bring the Iraqi song into a much bigger audience outside the country, then you owe money to Waleed Al Sahmi. Started as a  music composer only to end up being one of the hottest and busiest singers for Iraqi song.

I am not suggesting that Waleed Al Shami  only makes pop gems--a lot of what he makes is just notice and beats that a collection of cars stuck in traffic can make. But he went to Dubai and sat one stop shop for anyone who wants to do Iraqi songs. In the process he made a lot of money and a lot of friends. This is about to change though.

So now, he has a lot more time to focus on making real music that will build his legacy. Now you will see he is putting on his Kadem Al Saher suit and trying to be a refined voice. To be frank, I am madly in love with his new single, "Mabrouk Lel Hozn" Congratulation to the sadness...a song about how sadness has won the battle and now we all surrender. This is a classy song that cost a lot of money to make and the music video had to burn much cash, but to be true, this was worth it.

A beautiful song from a versatile artist who has only shown us the tip of the iceberg when it comes to his talent. This is Waleed Al Shami  like we have never heard hi before. He came back with a sad song that is also uplifting. His haircut looks like a million dollar and so does his choice of wardrobe. Not only does he dazzle us here with his voice, but his signature if on the music.

This new song will break many records for Rotana and it will breath some life into the company and shatter their image of making the same music over and over again.

The Stupid Arab Guy Song By Tarek Al Atrash

Guys do stupid things all the time. All guys no question about it. When it comes to attracting females, they lose their minds and everyone in their mind think they are the greatest. But seriously where does all this confidence come form?

Maybe  the new music video for the single by Tarek Al Atrash will help explain the low IQ guys have around attractive females. They are dropping like flies near sweet things. Please note the street harassment and catcalling females. Guys think it's cool--I doubt females find it attractive. Those grown men are acting like boys and juveniles as they stalk this young woman.

Really? Following the lady into the hair salon is not romantic. Tarek Al Atrash has a good voice, but who the hell does she think he is? I guess the message from this music video the crazy one gets the girl. all you need to do is stalk her and do her hair.  Tarek is based in Dubai, a long way form home. Ever since he did that song about cigarettes and he is living large.

Keep on mind according to the song, Tarek does not mind becoming Scarface for the one he loves.

Ahlam Just Had The Biggest And Most Expensive Album Launch Party (Video)

During a press conference for Arab Idol last year Ahlam insulted the Arab press that covers music, not the smartest thing to do if you want people to like you. She now pays for her stupid comments. She did hold a big event and album launch party in the Mall of Dubai and no one seemed to brother writing about it.

The UAE artist released a decent album last week and it deserves a lot of attention, not because it can cure cancer, but because it's the labor of love and hard work. The lady took over the mall and met with her fans who came from all over the Gulf region to see her at the mall (see the interviews)

I must say, her makeup for the event was something else. Ahlam has a really good voice that overs warmth and complexity. It's her firebrand personality that gets her in trouble. She now dubs herself the queen and the Artists of Arabs.

There was a big turnout and lots of money invested in this event and the excitement was clear. It seems Ahlam wanted to have her revenge and get back at all her doubters that she still has it and the fans love her. I like that, having a big company back you up does help too

The New Ahlam 2015 Album Dares You البوم ابتحداك لفنانة العرب احلام

Diva Ahlam released a new album--everybody should listen to it. Why? She is the biggest female pop star in the region, she is also the most recognizable artist from the Gulf to most Arabs. The title for this album is "I Dare You" I do not know what the topic is but I know the diva has few enemies and she has never held back. I name Shatha Hassoun, Shams and Ragheb Alama, not to forget the entire body of the Arabic press whom she insulted.

Make no mistake this album will sell like cupcakes, she is a big name and people love her and her music. So, I am certain sales will not disappoint. I like the variety songs she has in this album. She even has a one light Gulf song that travels well outside the area where she is most comfortable with. Nine tracks are out in this album, and let's recall that this album's title is not original as another female pop artist who's based in Gulf used it in the 90s.

The why the album is being promoting is as a masterpiece as you will see below.

The Moroccan Lady Who Rules Gulf Music From Dubai

Asma Lmnawar made her mark on Arabic music in 2008 and 2009. Thanks to her awesome talent and the faith and support of Iraqi Kadem Al Saher. Her name was everywhere and her talent was the pleasant surprise coming from the West Side.

But starting in 2010, the Moroccan native wanted more, so she moved her residence to Dubai and from there she took over the Gulf music scene. Asma is not one of top five names who are making the best music in that corner. She is also one of three leading ladies singing in that dialect.

This is why new comer Esmail Mubarak released a duet with her last month. It's your average sweet romance form capable artists whose sentiments is the most precious asset. I think Asma's sweetness shins through here, but not her strong vocal muscles. I guess she does not have to be the strongest voice out there in each of her songs. Variety is good.

With Her New Song, Ahlam Reminds People Why She is Famous! @Ahlam_Alshamsi

Saudi composer wrote the music for the new single by the provocative songstress Ahlam. This Emirati hit-maker has a problem with speaking too much and firing from the hip. I may not like a lot what she has to say, but I admire what she has accomplished and how big of an artist she has become in a region so confused about its identity.

you have to respect her career and the money beautiful hits she has been making for the past 25 years or so. She may rub people the wrong way on Arab Idol, she may say some weird things on Twitter, she may show off her jewels and fancy possessions and make people jealous. She still has many songs, and it seems she is not done.

Check out her latest single "Malhofa Le Soutak" about longing to the voice of her loved one. She is going for the classy look with the black and those hats form the thirties of the last century. It feels a bit like Mad Men. The song itself is pretty sweet and romantic to the bone. Ahlam does put on her singing hat and channel her honey like voice.

I like her second look here, I know the fans are excited about this release and so is her music label.

Flash Mob At Mall of the Emirates For A Saudi Album

Flash mobs may have died off two years ago, but not in Dubai. The city serves as a hot place for such online focused activity. In the Mall of the Emirates, a group of young men and women put on a show for the audience and the whole thing was planned by Saudi company Rotana to help drum up support for one of their new album releases.

Rabeh Saqer released an album with 38 tracks and it's kind of a big deal since he has not released some music in about eight years. I am not sure how this stunt help advertise for the album, I had no idea and saw no signs for the new album. Still, it's cool to do these things and enlist the help of so many talented young people who like to have fun.

By local taste, Rabeh released a big album and perhaps a good one, it took him 3 years of hard work....so Rotana went out for this new album.

When This Gulfie Took A Selfie...Joun Fayez Al Saeed

When you are the hottest music producer, singer and composer in the Gulf region and when your bank account is so large, you set out to take on fun projects. Fayez Al Saeed has artists lining outside his door to work with him, he choses the hot ones, the ones he likes and the few he respects and it shows.

But he is also his own singer so he strives to wear the cool hat and live his life like a guy without a care in the world. And this explains his 2014 single #Selfie that is filled with cool items, awesome wardrobe and plenty of women of the work who work in Dubai.

Sure we still like talking about selfies and make fun of them yet we cannot stop taking them. Fayez Al Saeed shaved ten years of his age for this music video as he looks like he is in his twenties here. The song is about taking a selfie with anything and everything. There are some creative shots and images here and it shows a sense of adventure.

There are some serious money burnt for this music video and Fayez Al Saeed owns it here and the people who appear in the clip seem to be among his biggest fans. I salute Fayez for doing something fresh and not mocking the selfie but embracing it. The song suggests for the person to lean in and smile for the selfie to be a better one. It's a love song for the masses and for this time, it ends with a surprise challenge

Can You Tell Where Reem Comes From?

Reem is the star of her music video. A song that kicks of in that popular Iraqi/Gulf rumba beat. She is all about the show business and it works well for her style. This is a bet od a sweet dance long beloved by the people in the Gulf. This is a dance show disguised as a song.

I do not loath this song and I think Reem Tamer is up to something here with her latest music video. The outfits are sizzling. I am certain the head covers with these hot shorts/mini skirts will set some people off. I believe the director got couple of shots of her butt of glory.

Dubai is becoming a hub for many artists and they are shooting music videos and recording songs over there in volumes that rivals Egyptian and Lebanese studios. Though quantity does not mean quality by any definition.

I could not find much info on Reem's background. I can tell she works in the UAE, but where she is from is a mystery to me. She must be starting just now. We know that Jad Shwery directed her here and he returns to his roots of making raunchy music videos for female artists.

The Marvelous Desert Romance Song By Jaber Al Kaser @jaberalkaser1

The son of the Gulf Jaber Al Kaser hearts the desert, horses, and dates. He is making an old way of life cool as you see his all-Bedouin, all the time song. The, the same places where they greet one another with noses.  He is a knight here and he catches a glimpse of the lady that stole his heart and then he stars singing. This Saudi artist who has released at least albums where he collaborated with the brightest poets and musicians under the sun. He started as local Sha'abi artist and then his fame grew so fast.

He is singing to his horse and next up, you see a lot of old men greeting one another and dancers come out and the party starts. I like this song because it's feels original and not forced. This is something missing in today's Gulf music. That noisy beat they make, just send me running in the opposite direction.

Here Jaber combines the gentle romance with the beautiful Tarab music. I think this is how going back to the roots looks. The artist seeks refuge in God as he is helpless against this romance.

Wissam Hilal Fired Up For "Ignite" Music Video @WissamHilal

Syrians do not have it as good as they once did. Take for example Wissam Hilal, a Syrian rock star whose home is Dubai. The rock star sings in English and he has done very well in local concerts for those who like American pop and western style music. But what surprise me about Wissam is his big ambitions despite the haters he keeps churning them hits.

He has big dreams and inspires to do better things and taking his name (and the flag of his country) farther. He returns with a new single and it's personal. He likes to party and his style tells that clearly. To my untrained ears, he sounds like a one man boy band. He got the looks, the style, the swagger, and the talent.

The music video is what you would expect to watch on TV networks like MTV. It's something of a happy "one direction" go lucky get moving track. Despite the crowded music scene and the low returns on investments, music will always be a way of life.

Those who like Western pop, do not have to look far, one of their own has it figured out. Enjoy "Ignite". Despite the sluggish state of the Arab music industry, Wissam will keep doing what he knows how to do best--make people happy.

When Dubai Met Istanbul! İstanbul Strings - Dubaistanbul

Dubai, Istanbul meet in one music video and your jaw will be on the floor. Some fascinating images from Dubai and the futuristic look it's going for. Then take that and think Istanbul with all of its rich history and unmatched awesomeness.

This is where a city with little culture, meets another with lots of it. They get along and enjoy this tour. I am blown away. Not only this this clip offer some fine music that transforms one to these two places, but the atmosphere it creates is amazing. This might be a tower project, but the music makes it so much more. I know tourists love to visit either of these places.

Listen, Hussain Al Jassmi Best Song To Date حسين الجسمي ما نسينا جديد

Love songs are central to pop music. Try putting your heart’s desires on paper — and then singing them out loud. Hussien Jasmi just recorded a song that made me realize that love is better when you’re young. That’s when you can enjoy it freely, without all the adult complications

Whenever you write about someone you’re close to, you can’t help but be nervous about it. Hussein seems to have been experimenting with combining singing styles. You can hear how he matched three singing styles. We couldn't stop listening to that, and we wanted to write one as good that had the same kind of yearning.

Barry hit the melody first and I put together two verses and the chorus, his new single Ma Nissena is a hit because it is about vulnerability, turmoil and how ordinary people risk everything for love. Ma Nissena is the kind of song that always moves me because it’s so close to me. It’s such a heartbreaking song and there still so much love in it. It’s about loving each other but not being able to live together.”

Some may consider his pro Egyptian army song and anti democracy track as his best work yet. I do not see the song having a lasting impact.
