Ray Charles, The Beatles, James Brown, And Elvis Presley Go To Saudi Arabia @Masha3elStar

Two of America's biggest names in music star in a movie video made by a Saudi female artist. For starter this song should be confusing because Saudis are not well known for being patrons of the arts, and the stereotype Saudi women do not have it easy. It took Saudi vocalist and really cool cat of Khaleeji pop to bring out a big concert that takes one back in time.

Mashael brought few iconic American/British entertainers to be her sidekicks for her music video. Attention to details is clear. While this is a huge hit in Arabia, Masheal took it one step further. It's pretty funky concert that is well made. I could not tell if these folks were in there for real or just some computer tricks.

It's well made music video with a lot of flare and shows how cool Mashael in real life. The young singer takes a tour in what's hip and cool in American music. The king of pop Michael Jackson gets a cameo as well. I like this music video and the rap ends the song with fireworks.

The director had a good talent that believed in and she was willing to go along for his vision. What came out is a creative concept for music video that allows Mashael to shine and introduce us to many other world class talents.

Rabeh Sager Celebrates All The Saudi Freedoms!

Rabeh Sager is a proud Saudi who made time to record a new love song for his home. I respect that. He loves his home and he enjoys its wealth and riches--unlike many non Saudi stars who do such songs for a paycheck. Rabeh is fitly rich so he does not do things for money. He is one of these authentic Saudi voices, really in an other country his style won't fly. But in Saudi and the Khaleej he is king.

It's Saudi national day and there is celebration all over the land and it's Hajj season and Eid, so there are many happy occasions to commemorate. Rabeh had a good year in 2015, which saw the release of his much anticipated album of more than 20 tracks. It was his first in more than a decade.

Khaleejis Are More Prepared For Orgies Than Wars

I laugh when I see Khaleeji men act all tough and manly. Few tribes in Yemen is fighting back agasaint half a dozen armies invading their country. See, the Saudis and the Emirates have gone to war agasaint Yemen. The goal is to liberate the country from its own people and installing a friendly regime.

It's tough to deny this, but they have droves of weapons and fancy gadgets in those tow countries, Yemenis do not have anything, just the will and justice. This worked for them. In one day dozens of army officers from Saudi, the UAE and Kuwait perished invading their brothers. These army officers have brought death to Yemen,  not peace.

I do not mourn them. Their party crazed leaders who sent them to their fate re to be held accountable. They Khaleej thought Yemen would be an easy target, it wasn't. The generals in the armies of Saudi Arabia and UAE have never seen a real war and they are best prepared for orgies than for war. This is why they suck at it. Plus Yemenis, are willing to die for their countries, what are these invading offers willing to die for? They are not fighting to defend their own country, but rather fighting to install an out of touch regime that has been rejected by the people.

If this leader the Saudis want to run Yemen was any popular why is he hiding in Saudi Arabia and not among his people in Yemen? I do not hate Saudi Arabia, or any other country, I just hate it when they do stupid things.

I wrote this because I just saw a new song/poem propaganda piece done for the UAE's army and leadership. It's a show off piece. The funny thing is that there are tons of mercenaries fighting on behalf of all countries involved.

Meet "The Octopus Of The Oud" Abadi El Johar

He has the coolest titel among his Arab pears, he goes by "the octopus of the lute-oud" How cool is that? Abadi El Johar, also goes by another title "the ambassador of sorrow" because his brings a man closer to his tears. But his skills to play the oud is something not to ignore. He is a master in this and I love how cool his ouds tend to be. He owns 51 of them all at home and each of them serves a purpose.

Abadi El Johar is a Saudi and he has been singing, but he also likes to read old Arabic poetry and study the history. How did he decide to sing? A really personal story, his mom was being seein in hospitals in Egypt and since they spent a great deal of money on the visits to the hospitals, Abadi took an offer to sing in Egypt paying him a 1000 Egyptian pound. that allowed him to support himself while caring for his mother.

He wrote a dozne of songs and music for a list Arab pop stars among whom Asalah Nasri, Samira Said, Abbas Ibrahim, Aseel Omaran and not to forget the legendary Talal Maddah. Here is the man performing one of his songs live. No wonder he is a king-maker of Gulf music and his fane and respect has traveled outside the gulf where most of his focus has been.

Meet The Wealthiest Saudi Singer (And He Is Good Too!)

Rashed Al Majed has a good thing going for him. Well to do poets chase him down, and offer to pay him top dollars for him to sing their work. Many of the Khaleej poets are rich--fitly rich. In face the richer you are the more you wish you were a poet, it's one of these things people in Khaleej place a big value on. So a rich person in the West, brags about some sports, in the Gulf, they brag about their ability to write poetry.

Back to Rashed, this Saudi singer has his own recording studio, his own mega production company and a lot of cash from his private and public gigs. So it's no surprise that we almost get a new song by this elder and talents artist. He turns poems into gold and to be frank some of these songs are worth millions as they are good. Others not so much!

Let's visit three singles by this lovable and wealthy singe. The singles were released in the span of a month and if you like Rashed you will set through this songs. There is real emotion and real stories one expects to hear from him. Not so much the dance beats songs from the 90s--he is too good for that now.

Saudi Crooner? Turki Is Everything Your Love Life Needs

So many Khaleej based artists go by the name Turki, it's a royal name too. Here's one super talented Saudi singer that uses that name and he is doing well by that name. 99 percent of Saudi singers do not try to be famous outside of their country--there is plenty of money at home. But those who do tend to do it for the celebrity chair not necessary for the funds.

When you look up Turki, you learn many Iraqis share his songs on their forums and consider him one of their own. That's neat! I like him in this romantic style. He is a lot like these old Abdul Majeed Abdallah songs. Pure, innocent and unassuming love is there comfort zone. The music is pretty fine and it does help the song and the listener to keep focused on it.

The power of the Saudi song has always been reliant on its poetic lyrics, Turki sticks to that tradition and dazzle us once more.

This Saudi Physicans/ Singer @DRmohabomar Will Cure Your Soul With His Music

There's a famous Arabic physician who has stopped doing surgeries and operation on his patients to do a comedy show. And now there's another awesome physician who is perusing his other talents aside from caring for his patients.  Paging Dr. Mohab Omer from Saudi Arabia, Jeddah to a YouTube screen near you.

His soothing voice, calm style will put you at ease as he sings his latest song. It's people like Dr. Omer who bring about change, they do it slowly and certainly without alienating anyone. I simply found out about him because a cousin of mine who studied in Malaysia put up his link from his home in Gaza, and I picked it up here in the United States of A.

Jordanian Muslim Singer Mohammad Alkouni Replaces Rotana's Sexy Ladies

Islamic songs better know performer (Munshid) Mohammad Alkouni is a native of Jordan and is a celebrity in the Muslim/ Arab world. It seems Saudi company Rotana picked him up and together they released a supplication album during the Muslim holy month.

Sure, music sales tank during the month, but business is good as people still have cash to spend. Enters the stage the gifted lovely voice of Mohammad Alkouni. I know music channels are always looking for Ramadan appropriate entertainment to keep their advertising revenue up. And as people become more spiritual this month, there's room for Mohammad Alkouni

The Jeddah of Saudi Arabia native Ahmad Alshugairi will be ending this show after all seasons. Ahmad who is also used educated traveled the globe for this program looking for positive things to share with his viewers. Saudi Video-Gamer Hamza Hawsawi Just Won The X Factor

Six months of preparation and nine weeks of live episodes, the fourth season of The X Factor Middle East has a winner and he is a Saudi vocalist whose love for music is only bigger than his love for action video games (more on his games of choice can be found here).

Hamza Hawsawi is that happy contestant. The 24-year-old was so shocked when he was announced to be the winner for the fourth season of X Factor. Hawsawi, who competed within the “International” category during the show, avoided singing in Arabic throughout the competition, preferring to sing in English. Week after week he wowed the judges with his impeccable accent, his confident stage presence and, of course, his amazing voice.

After months of anticipation, the winner of "The X Factor Arabia" has been revealed. Although millions were rooting for the Arab world's hottest up-and-coming boy band The Five to win, Saudi Arabia’s Hamza Hawsawi took the winning title home on Saturday night, Albawaba.com reports.

@abbodart1 Love Poem Comes to Life By Abdullah Abdulaziz

Abdullah Abdulaziz looks like a boy, dresses like a high school jock, and sings like a proud Saudi man who took part of Star Academy's 9th season. Abdullah Abdulaziz is a student of business, when away form school he likes to sing. This time, he has found a heavy and a decent poem that glows love.

I like young artists who release songs that present something fresh and challenge themselves to reach higher grounds. Sure a bit of lucks helps, but a real talent goes very far, you will hear that in this song below and feel Abdullah has a lot to offer in the regional Khaleej music and to the greater Arabic music scene. It's a sweet track from a bright young artist with a big heart.

For starter, I love the style of music, and adore how well the song comes together, there's harmony. In general songs in the Gulf tend to bore you or annoy you with the music or the repetitive imagery. Not this time Abdullah Abdulaziz landed a song that will enrich his resume and earn him new fans. The team behind the song deserves a raise. And  Abdullah Abdulaziz should walk tall and own his new track.

Step-Mother And Daughter Team Up In A New Duet @Hala_alturk @DouniaBatmaA

When you are a music producer with a daughter that sings and is a rock star, you make sure she does what makes her happy while she does what she is good at. When you are the same producer and married to a lady who can also sing and has been called the Arab Idol, you make sure she keeps doing her music thing.

But Mohammad Al Turk brought his daughter and his wife together in a new music venture or call it a duet. The new duet for Hala Al Turk and her step-mother Dounia Batma is something of an internet sensation and a viral hit. Check out this new track that brings together two young artists. The second has not been released for than 24 hours and it has already been seen by tens of thousands.

The young and dazzling artists can be seen sporting the traditional Moroccan dress yet they sound very Khaleejy. Sure they have chemistry and friendship that is priceless. A good song is a good song. I am glad to hear that the family has sorted out its drama and they are more focused and energized as ever.

The song has been teasing music fans for months so the release was a big thing for their respective fans. The song offers nothing but love from the two ladies. I like the energy, the beat and the lyrics.

The Brilliant Abdul Majeed Abdullah Delivers...Tanakud

Abdul Majeed Abdullah is a rare Saudi talent. What he has done to the local Saudi song is impressive, he made it something one in Morocco/Egypt/Lebanon/Sudan enjoys. He was able to do that for two reasons. He has a divine voice, and he seems like he really and fully means what he says--it's not a job to pay the bills.

Tanakud is his song, and it means contradiction. It's a single that's worth an entire album. No need to release an album where an artists can bury good tracks....release one great track each time and let the fans savor it, do not give them a buffet.

Abdul Majeed Abdullah is the coolest Saudi entertainer, I only wish he was more accessible to the media and the press.

New Album Out! The Great Aseel Abu Bakr Transcends Beautifully

Aseel Abou Bakr's father is legendary Saudi/Yemeni singer Abu Baker Salim. Naturally the song would gravitate toward music just like his old man. I first came across this amazing artists back in college when one of my best pals is form Oman and he would play his music in his Mustang. I recall being blown away with this man's tangy voice and the way he pronounces words.

Luckily for us, Aseel is still making music and he is now with Rotana. Two weeks ago he released a new album and it's such a delight. The man picks winners and his songs are so flawless and so perfect for the mass audience who like sweet and pure songs. I like how he makes the songs feel, it does not feel that he is singing to millions but rather like he is leaving a bittersweet voicemail to someone whom loves despite being wronged.

Take the song below and see how it's been put together, I love the production value here, it adds to Aseel's larger than life talent. This is one artists that I would love to meet and talk to. He has made life a lot better with his talent and grace. Not to be overlooked is his music compositions where he made so many memorable songs for many A list singers.

The Hottest Arabic Dance Song Is Actually Saudi! @Masha3elStar

Songstress Mashael is getting words of congratulations as she released a new single that feels so awesome. A new single from a Khaleej based artist is usually do not get the attention of the Arab press, but not Mashael.

She just make a pop sons that sounds so American and so Latin and so Arabic all at once. Want something cool? She collaborated with her hubby (he composed the music) on this track. A lovely song with a catchy title and a global beat. Saudi Arabia is going places and since Mashael comes form this conservative part of the world, she is really making the local music so much more wonderful.

It was 2008 when we first heard of this bright artist and six years later, she is still making music that excited people from different backgrounds. I love the production and the music arrangement in this release, it's like nothing we have seen from Saudi Arabian music. "Mosibaty" means in Arabic "My Calamity"....while the title is dark, the song is so energizing. Yes, you can dance, even in Saudi Arabia they do.

Is Talented Singer Zayed Al Saleh The Most Handsome Saudi Man? @alfnaan_zaid

He has the voice of an angel, the heart of a new mother, the looks of a runway model and he comes form Saudi Arabia. Meet Zayed Al Saleh, the guy whose voice reminds me very much of another celebrated Saudi singer Abdul Majeed Abdullah.

Zayed has a new single where he sings about his heartache and how much he longs for her, it's a beautiful song that can only come from a guy who has been hurt. The young artists has not joined a music production company so he is not in it for the money or the deadlines. However, he has managed to collaborate with the biggest names in Arabic and Khaleeji songs in music and lyrics.

He has a new album which he worked on last summer, he will sing in a number of styles including Egyptian, Moroccan and Yemeni. I love how he mixed the hip music with old-school lyrics that carry old values. I like to meet fresh Saudi voices who are doing something the rest of the Arab world can appreciate and relate to.

Giants Rabeh Saqer & Nawal Al Kuwaitia Transcend In A New Duet

She is from Kuwait, he is from Saudi Arabia, both are pillars of Gulf music. It's only fitting for these two giants to collaborate one a song. Comes the duet between Rebeh Saqer and Nawal. It's a poem turned into a beautiful song loaded with sweet emotions.

I am a huge fan of Nawal, I love her music ever since I was little. Rabeh is an acquired taste for me, but the man makes nice music. More of this music Rotana please, leave the commercially successful noise to the small times. Seriously, their lyrics are so rich and certainly romantic.

Shaima Hilali Saves Ibrahim AlHakami With This Deut

I do not enjoy terrible songs and I hate that fact that I will be negative, but this new duet feels like a pile of trash. A duet with Tunisian gem Shaima Hilali is always worth checking out, but when the money is on the table, artists worry about their craft last.

She sounds good here for sure, but the neither the song nor her fellow singer help make this a classic. Ibrahim Al Hakami won Star Academy years ago, and he robbed a Syrian talent from taking home the title. Ibrahim done well in the Gulf and he tries to do other songs as well, but he has yet to appeal to anyone outside the Gulf.

I like the money that got spent on this music video, the set, the location and the Bedouin feel and dance. Shaima manages to hold onto her talent when it's so hard. Plus she looks so good, and sounds as perfect as she has always done.

I do not hate Ibrahim, I wish him well. I just do not connect with him when I connect with some many stars from the Gulf. Maybe this song can help get increase his brand recognition. The song itself is about suing oneself for wronging the lady. A guy who admits he made mistakes or that he makes things worse, should get a trophy.

Flash Mob At Mall of the Emirates For A Saudi Album

Flash mobs may have died off two years ago, but not in Dubai. The city serves as a hot place for such online focused activity. In the Mall of the Emirates, a group of young men and women put on a show for the audience and the whole thing was planned by Saudi company Rotana to help drum up support for one of their new album releases.

Rabeh Saqer released an album with 38 tracks and it's kind of a big deal since he has not released some music in about eight years. I am not sure how this stunt help advertise for the album, I had no idea and saw no signs for the new album. Still, it's cool to do these things and enlist the help of so many talented young people who like to have fun.

By local taste, Rabeh released a big album and perhaps a good one, it took him 3 years of hard work....so Rotana went out for this new album.
