Four New Singls By Upbeat Zippies

There are countless of young artists who have been gifted a soothing voice. Out of those thousands, we only know about a 100. Which makes it unfair for all the bright talents out there who are vying for one's attention. So, let's try and check the new artists out and be nice. It's not easy to be a new comers nor is it cheap. Most of your favorite pop stars had to start somewhere.

Here are four new songs that comes in different styles and ranges. I bet you anything that you will find something that speaks to you here. Start with Mahmood Al Shafei and his song about the local grocery store. Swing by Abdullah Al Hmeem & Monia duet. Then give Mohammed Ghazi some time as he sings and keep on mind that he is also the music composer behind the song. And finish with the catchy titled song by Khalil Mustafa who just wants to forget and live.

Facebook and YouTube Get Their Own Songs (Videos)

We are all suckers for social media, yes many of us have an addiction to them. But not these two ladies who released two songs celebrating YouTube and Facebook.  Oumnia did a song for YouTube and her voice is pretty decent, so she can do better songs than this one. It's a romantic song where YouTube comes up.

The next song is by Mai Khayat who woke up only to head to her Facebook profile to check what's happening. Again, neither of these artists are A list artists, nor are they B, but their songs travelled well and thanks to Filfan, I got to hear about them. I am glad someone is watching these songs and music videos. In between the uploads and the updates, this is a whole different universe.

The Fresh Mint Song Is Old!...Moustafa Hagag Misses @NjMusicProduct

I liked this song as a song, but now as a music video I do not think it's that good. Why? Last year Mostafa Hagag was one of my favorite new comers to the pop scene, he has charisma that is clear throughout his song selection.

The guy did a song about fresh mint and his love interest who likes fresh mint. Cool song, then he filmed it as a music video and things did not work out I think. Nothing is fresh about the music video. Using flashy cars and dude clothes, jumping around the camera aimlessly. And then there is that dancer with great hair who looks like a body builder and doing things on her balcony that would be either strange in the West or an advertisement for a sex worker.

But it's not her fault, it's the vision of the director and the singer that went along. I still like Mostafa and like that he seems like easy going and not too pretentious. He comes across as a guy from a modest origins who made it. Maybe it's the pressure eon him to do what's popular by brining that sexy dancer and getting it on with her in public. Then all of sudden a bunch of guys come wanting to p[arty with his lady, and a little kid comes and gives them a bunch of mint--not flowers.

I Hope @NabilMekkawy Doesn't Suck This Time! (Video)

New comer Moustafa Hagag released an album last year that we love din my family. One particular song we enjoyed over and over was his song about fresh mint and the hot vendor who sells them. You know mint is a basic ingredients in tons of perfumes.

I do not like, the lady in the balcony doing cheap dances to the masses--has little to do with reality. Then she is looking down on his loved one as she was gonna prey on him. Moustafa Hagag's outfit choices is a bit grey and not working out for me. I can live with the pink bike and the artificially looking set.

Not sure how much money the director Nabil Mekkawy was working with, but I have seen better work form hims beforehand. I still have not seen the full music video so I might be being rash. I do like the song, love Moustafa Hagag and I appreciate the talent of Mr. Mekkawy.

Lebanese Ghady Is Feeling Very Gay Right Now!

Lebanese pop star Ghady is feeling very sexy right now and he does not mind undressing and sharing his body with the world where he leaves little to the imagination. Those abs are meant to kill! The Lebanese firefighter is not starting fires with his music.

Not only does he take off his own clothes, he has asked of his models to do the same thing. These revealing swimsuits are something new and the water and wetness is going places. This is a good song (other than the line about the prophet Jo is silly, but as music is is pretty decent.

Ghady grow up and stop using that fake tan. He is a good looking guy and he is making many ladies out there so happy, and with that lots of gay guys are savoring this latest music video.

Naya, The Lebanese Girl Who Likes To Party

She is so young, she is so ditsy and if she can figure out how to get the microphone thing to work, she would make a fortune. Naya is not a new comer--she has been in the business for about three years, but technically, she is still new, and has one album under her belt.

At a concert in Beirut at a local hotel, she rocked the night with her playback singing--you can tell when the microphone gets loose, her floral mini dress. She sang her favorite songs to the attendees and she is full of life and the party was fun for her taking part.

I do not know if the dress was a good choice, but the other outfits were not any less shocking. Let's be fair, Beirut like to party.

Egyptian Singer Loai Cannot Go Back To The Top Again

As Loai releases yet another new music video for a song from his album releases earlier this year, I cannot help but think this is a talented guy who has not found a hit for more than five years. This Egyptian singer released three albums, the first was a classic pop album that saw his rise to fame. He second album was average...third album was lacking. Sure it had few songs that are decent, but nothing registered with the masses.

Not sure what is not working with this once lovable but shy artist. I did not love this song and the album while looks classy and puts Loai under a good light, it's just a song that has no soul and a music video that could not make it have one.

@MalakeSinger Puts Cheating Men To Shame In "Nadman"

I do not like to be mean when I write about music videos and songs. I strive to find something positive in everything. I hate to be negative and crap on people's hard work and on their money. It's unfair to pick one them. Having said that, sometimes, I just do not get it and I would say as much.

Now, this is one of those times, that I am confused as I watch a music video starring Malake....a song about cheating? violence? affairs? Gender equity? I do not know. Sure, there are too many handsome people in this world. Is the song about regrets? There are too many serious topics being explored here and that's too much for one pop song by a new comer from Lebanon.

The song is vocally pleasant. The music video features some naked stud in bed. And a lady dressed to kill. Sure, there's double-standard for genders. But in a society you want to be open, liberal, progressive and it would be hard to maintain loyalist and commitment. So, cheating is not okay not in any culture. But who to say what's okay and what's not. Dancing with another man? Showing a lot of skin? flirting with people left and right?

The Egyptian Adele Attempts To Be Hip (Video)

Reham Abd Elhakim just released one of her music videos unto the world. Reham, I love her might opera-quality vocals. Perhaps she might not be the cool artists you had on mind, but when it comes to singing she is tough to beat. Though I like her many songs from various movies and TV shows. It's hard to forget her song that takes issue with the many faults that comes with growing up in Egypt. A touching song that resonated with all Arabs not just the ones in Egypt.

Reham is trying to do an image makeover and appealing to the young and hip. She already has fans in many of her tuxedo wearing fans who know her from the house of opera. I like how Egyptian she is. She is your text book Egyptian female artist.

I just think she deserves a better music video, than this graphic show that seems to be at least ten years old. Not her fault, but glad to see that Mazzika is featuring her at all. Singers who are more focused on their voice and less with their image and marketing are under-represented. Rehad did play the role of a young Um Kalthoom in that hit show in 1999. Her first performance at the house of opera came at the young age of 12.

#MyMAYA Album Is Out! Erotica With Lebanese Maya Diab

01 – Biradini
02 – Da Mtallaa Eeni
03 – Ghmorni W Shedd
04 – Habbayt Nemshi Sawa
05 – Keda Bardou
06 – Kilmi
07 – Ktir Awi Keda
08 – Sabaa Terwah
09 – Ya Bayyaiin El Assal

Girls make everything nice, guys have to take everything and turn into something dirty. Take fro example Maya Diab's new song and music video. She asks him to huge her and press tight. Then the duo are in bed rolling in bed. I do not get it, I do not think this is necessary, but the fans have something to say. Then one song ends and another one begins and a new storyboard. The handsome guy brings her back to life and they end up together.

Maya Diab is a married woman and she is even being directed by another female director so this might be girl power in action. No doubt the location is captivating and the performance is new to Maya Diaib. As for the album, I get the feeling that she did not have any real music produces in the studio to tell guide her and challenge her to be the best Maya she can be.

I feel the album is average, what's missing is a genuine hit song that makes one happy and sends young people to the dance floor. While the album has some good songs, no lead song jumps to mind, lots of emotions and female sided tales. But also, Maya talks like one of these street kids at least in one song.

The Inescapable Cyrine Abdelnour Releases A Twisted Music Video @emusicismylife

Cyrine Abdelnour is everywhere on TV, she is a big attraction to all the big producers and networks for want to assemble a TV drama. She almost plays the same role every time, the girl that falls in love and faces trouble or the good looking lady that men fight over. Sure that kind of stuff is tired if not expired, but she keeps Cyrine Abdelnour living in a big mansion and partying around the clock.

Cyrine Abdelnour did released three singles this year, a movie and a number of TV shows (Sorry, I do not follow) And comes the music video about a failed romance. Few can act as well as Cyrine Abdelnour, she plays the good girl who is being mistreated by an ungrateful guy. Sure they live in paradise and they are filty rich, but happiness is not all there.

He is a cheater--what else did you expect? There are few looks that Cyrine Abdelnour brings out--that swimsuit pool part seems out of place. She sings for over six minutes. Then an accident happens and she rushes to be by his bedside. Even though he is a jerk, she will be there. Some amazing work has been done here for the makeup. But there is an emotional surprise. The music video mixes things around and confused me a bit. What's with that asylum picture with the lady who is confined in that dark space?

This part is about jealousy, overthinking things, being possessive, and few other things including taking drugs for mental purposes.

Getting Fresh With Arabic Music, Azizi And Her "taraPOP" @AzizatBeirut

Aziza is a Lebanese Arabic "taraPOP" singer/songwriter. Debut album AZIZA to be released soon. I wrote about Aziz more than two years ago here. Not much has been done in the spotlight, but Aziza seems to have been so busy working on her second act and her debut album should be releasing any minute now. This proud young woman who likes the oldies, yet understands the relevancy of pop songs. She mixed them together and came up with something the masses can enjoy.

"taraPOP" describes Aziza's evolvement in mixing Arabic tarab with pop music. Her songwriting is based on reflections from her daily life, her moods, aspirations, fears, and how she responds to the outside world in her relationships with people, causes and the society. In the end, the outcome is Aziza's private vision of lyrics, melodies, and experiences .And.. this is what to expect from Aziza's upcoming debut album that will be released in 2014. A short teasers is below.

Aziza has a very capable voice so, she can cover more grounds. She dedicates her talent and time to her music, but marketing should not be ignored. She has a lot to offer and it's a  shame if more people do not get to experience it. She gets to renew old songs, but also make new songs that feel Déjà vu. It's like this feels familiar and fresh both at the same time. This is the magic of Aziza's style. Funky, classy, free, and groovy all at once.

Diana Mardiny Sings in Arabic Titles Her Song In Broken English - Look 2 Me

More and more Arab singers are choosing to title their songs in English-even though the song is in Arabic. Rouwida Attieh just did it with her "First Dance" song this year. Now comes a new pop songstress with the name Diana Mardiny. The new song of hers "Look 2 Me" I have no idea what this title is meant to represent?

The song is an average pop song in Arabic that has little to do with the English title. I would perhaps place most of the blame for this assault on the lyricists and music composer Rashed El Shikh. I do not know what he was thinking. He wrote a decent song in the fashion of Nancy Ajram, but then he went with English title.

Diana is an up and coming singer form Lebanon who would have been signed up for a contract in the early/middle 00's, but right now it would be difficult.

May Hariri: The Least-Liked Sexy Pop Star Releases A New Music Video

May Hariri does not play well with others, she prefers the go it alone approach whether in her personal life or on her career, she prefers to play alone. Now, I know very few people working in the music industry in Lebanon who like to work with this babe of a celebrity!

She tends to be combative in her interviews and she often lashes at other divas by saying things like "I am sexier than...", "taller than...", "due to my perfect look, plastic surgeon show women a picture of me before procedures."

This makes sense why she produces for herself now and releases her songs on her official channel. The lady is an okay singer who has a nice charm about her. She does have something beautiful about her look. But a personality to complement that is lacking.

Here's her new song where she pulls out few lady ticks out of the bag and muddle through the song. The track is about how her boy toy is driving her mad. Too bad she went to Turkey to film this picture.

"You Dance For Me Girl!" Song Is Here And It Sucks

His name is Ozaina Alali and he is a full blown Syrian who like showmen in short skirts to dance around him while he stand in there looking like a fat dude should. I liked Ozaina Alali's voice before, and I love the traditional black and white dresses....I do not get that sexy outfit dancer ladies portion.

shake your hips is the title the singer went with. I like happy songs, and I like the middle portion of the debka music, but then the club stuff is needless. Ozaina in very short years he has shown that he is a star to respect and listen to. It is not happening for me this once.

Sandy: Good Song, Random Music Video @SandySandystar

Sandy had a good album last year, it was a milestone in her career and it had a lot of different things to many of her young fans. Aside from music, Sandy keeps her fans excited by maintaining one of the most active social media profiles. I mean lots of pictures and updates.

So the young artists just released a music video that she made on the fly in some of these sea resorts. It seems a one camera operation. It's unclear if this is in Egypt or away from it, I think it's not in Egypt.

Sandy goes for the simple girl on vacation. This is one of the better song son her album, it's a girl song where she has a crush on that pretty boy. I liked the song, I just do not get the music video it' does nothing for the song. Good song, and a music video that has nothing to do with the actual song.

The most expensive thing about the music video is the helicopter images perhaps.

The Most Random Song! Mohamad Iskandar & Moeen Shreif In "Soltan w Amir"

Two bros of Lebanese music get together and record a new duet. Watch Mohamad Iskandar joins Moeen Sherif in a new song. The one you do not see on this music video is the son Fares Iskandar who wrote the music and the lyrics.

I am clueless about this song, what's the subject? It just feels strange seeing these two guys talking about immigration and leaving the homeland behind. The two artists pledge not to abandon their homes despite growing in modest homes.  I like both artists, I just do not get this collaboration.

The song has a tricky title "A Sultan and a Prince" which makes the message all weirder. Maybe this is the title the artists think of themselves as.

Just Another Diana Haddad Music Video! @DianaHaddad

The Lebanese-Emirati pop star likes to shoot music videos. It feels like she releases a new music video every three months. In my book, she is the artist that shoots and releases more music videos than most of her peers in any given region in the Arab World.

Money does not seem to be an issue, most pop stars in Arabia peg for sponsors, Diana does not worry too much. she seems to self-finance her music videos. This is why she is able to release more of them than even the great Nancy Ajram.

I love Diana Haddad, just not most of her music in the last few years. She makes music that gets her high-paying gigs in the Khaleej where she is home. She makes music for the fans out there, not the first fans who adores her almost 2 decades ago.

See her latest music video Al Ared Ghannat, a song that lacks a lot of exciting elements and feels like all over the place musically. Not sure other than Diana modeling around, what the music video accomplishes. I love the outfits for sure, I just do not think a song should be about lifestyle alone. Perhaps better Lebanese songs or even Egyptian ones are welcome at this point.

A word of unsolicited advise for the songstress is to invest more time in finding better songs than in coming up with concepts for music videos and outfits to wear. Again, this is coming from a fan who grew up listening to her music and idolizing her.

#Comeback Download: Loai New 2015 Album البوم لؤى - عايشها

It might be too soon to start writing the obituary for the once dazzling career of Egyptian pop star Loai. Loai had had trouble with at least two music production companies. It took him 8 years to release a follow up album. While his first album was an amazing success story, it has ten tracks and each of them did very well. His second album was a big "meh"....this is the third album and it's ready for you.

There's another album that's being held back from being released by the artist and the production company that paid for it. Luckily, Loai found a major company to produce this album and they are pushing people to tune in. Marketing helps, but it's a lot easier if you have a solid album. So far, I heard five songs and I am only really excited about one of them.

At least we know of one leading music site from Egypt who calls this album as Loai's last chance to be a mainstream artist and not a has been, They are saying Khalid Eiz is missing form this album. Eiz, is a music producer who knows how to make hits for a host of artists. Lacking this collaboration can be risky....so let's give it time and wish Loai well. There are ten tracks in the album and I am certain radios and online views will pile in.

Sherif Abd El Menaaem Cool Music Video "Tetr El Nehaya"

Yes, you too love Egypt. At least in public they all say the same talking point. When they make money, they jet their pregnant wives to some European or American city to give birth. granted not all of them do it, but this is the standard. Now Sherif Abd El Menaaem  has a wonderful voice, and a pleasant voice.

but I love the way his music video is made. This seems like a trendy style and he might be one of the ones who used it well. The guy sings for Egypt, a song end credit song. He is one of the young voices who like to let it know there are people who suffered, he is making promises not to give up, but he seems close to the street than his peers. Not sure where he stands on issues....but it seems he is all about Egypt, one country, without factions.

Wait, he is about turning the page, even though the page was never done. He is in the closet army and military clown. History will say a word.

.. Tetr El Nehaya - Sherif Abd El Menaaem تتر النهاية - شريف عبد المنعم.
