The New Pop Album By @MousaOfficial Does It For Me!

Egyptian Mousa (Moses of Egypt) is a new voice in Egyptian pop and he seems like a hard working modest singer who is trying to find his spot under the sun. I respect young artists  who go the distance work hard on their first album with little help from the world.

The sweet and handsome dude goes to war in his music video when he refuses to take calls from his ex. He just shuts he rout and tells her he is no longer gonna be Mr. nice guy. The dude walked away from a relationship and he is not coming back.

In his music video Mousa plays a believable DJ. And there is a model, and a nice car. Surely this is a nice music video that presents itself differently. The good news Mousa sounds different. That means her is not mimicking other pop stars. He is doing his own thing. I am pleased to see him making his own path and being himself and it seems to work.

I like how Mousa plays out the character every Arab guy has on his mind, he is Mr. popular who have choices and the lady not so much. But aside from that, this album deserves a listen. It's actually decent pop album. There are some bright talents that have attached themselves to the album, it just needs a bit more of marketing.

Nasr Mahrous Presents Touba--His Latest Find

There's a new name in Egyptian pop and it has the name Touba. Touba is being presented by Nasr Mahrous' Free Music label. Touba is really working with the one great music producer who is a powerhouse in Egyptian pop. Now she has to deliver on that promise. Nasr will package her and give her some of his best work.

Will she be the next big thing in female pop? I do not know. I think she has to do a little bit more vocal workout. She is got something to sell and I think she can find her own path. Her song is about missing the loved ones. Not to mind the blurry belly dancer who actually takes away from the song.

Four New Singls By Upbeat Zippies

There are countless of young artists who have been gifted a soothing voice. Out of those thousands, we only know about a 100. Which makes it unfair for all the bright talents out there who are vying for one's attention. So, let's try and check the new artists out and be nice. It's not easy to be a new comers nor is it cheap. Most of your favorite pop stars had to start somewhere.

Here are four new songs that comes in different styles and ranges. I bet you anything that you will find something that speaks to you here. Start with Mahmood Al Shafei and his song about the local grocery store. Swing by Abdullah Al Hmeem & Monia duet. Then give Mohammed Ghazi some time as he sings and keep on mind that he is also the music composer behind the song. And finish with the catchy titled song by Khalil Mustafa who just wants to forget and live.

Roni Kassar Is Crying Beautifully (Video)

Roni Kassar is a cool Lebanese dude, he is breathing Lebanon in his latest music video. Filmed at some posh villa in the foothills of Lebanon, a song where he is sad. Roni, you got a good thing going, no need to cry about it. You are young, good-looking, well-dressed, live in a giant mansion, and a gorgeous lady is in your life.

This is a good song for sure, Roni is plenty talented, his title for the song is about being stabbed with a dagger. AS if someone hit him with a knife in his back. While the images are so happy and the wedding party looks nice. The fire on curtains and dinner table are a nice touch. This is a well thought out music video, with some nice affects and gripping images.

I guess the love of his life is cheating on him with a fat bald guy....so women do not do that unless Roni you got a problem you are not telling us about.

The New And Improved Nadeen Morgan Unleashed

Nadeen Morgan is anonymous according to the internet but on Facebook, she has a fan club. And she only has one song and music video to her name, so she is green. But she signed with Mazzika and they already put her in a music video.

This is your average pop song from a very young woman whose voice has some depth to it. I do not like the tired fashion show, and the expired music video moves, but this is not her fault--the director is to blame. But this is a happy song about eyes, where Nadeen spends a great deal wearing eyeglasses.

Young Khaleeji Singers Abdul Aziz Luies vs. Mohamed Al Shehhi

Not every young artist who want to sing gets a record deal. Not even in the rich countries in the Khaleej. There are way too many young stars (some of them are bright) But there are also the young stars who do not want to work in music. they may just want one song and get famous or do that song and then step back.

I found two artist from the Khaleej who are making good pop music and I like their voices. The first is Abdul Aziz Luies and the later is Mohamed AlShehhi. Different styles and different stories, just same entertainment value. The first song is about being sweet and in love, the other is about dancing to the lyrics of cat and mouse songs.

Listen: Nariman's Suicidal Love Song @AhmedIbrahim_II

I like a bit of Spanish guitar mixed with some French Harmonica....this is how Nariman sees it best fit in her new single. You know when you break up, you think you are not done. Or perhaps the feeling that you are unable to move forward with your life. For those who have lived that moment, they can tune in and check out Nariman.

Good voice for a dark song that lacks hope, the song that many may play before they take their own lives. But Nariman's picture is about hope....and she looks like she has a lot of live for. The producer who should get most of the credit for this delightful track is the Cairo based arranger Ahmed Ibrahim. This song makes splash for a young artist who is trying to stand out from the pack...she does. Will it last? I hope Nariman has a lot to offer.

Khaleeji Girls Who Rock, Meet Henan Redha @HananRedhasays

Hanan Redha is a native to the Kingdome of Bahrain, but she resides in Kuwait. She does reside though in the hearts and minds of many of her young fans who met her three years ago on Arab Idol. The young artists who's prolific on the social media department just released a cute music video about her love story with this luck handsome man.

It's a sweet song that feels and sounds cute. The brilliant young singer shows fascination with Japanese culture. But she plays the girl in love very well. She is confident in a place where women are supposed to be shy. Hanan Redha will meet a lot of success in her career and I know she is made for it. In the past Khaleeji artists who do pop songs that travel well outside the region, tend to stick around for a long time.

I think the Khaleej is changing and it's young people like Hanan who are making this happen. For change, we are seeing singers play a love story and a marriage on camera. Traditionally, a singer form Khaleej would refuse to act the love store but not Hanan she is not average. More and more artists are doing such songs and living their life as they see it and not as they are permitted to.

I like her voice and her song.

@medomounib Presents Star Academy @Noormofficial New Single

Star Academy does not stop being the gift that keeps on giving. So many young artists have appeared on this program, so many stars were made and so many were forgotten. A few though have made it and have already established thriving careers in the entertainment biz.

Here's Nour Mohamed, also appeared on the program, what has yet to be answered, will she mange to hold tight and hang in there? Nour is young, cute, cheeky, and hip, so she has what helps with marketing. The vocal performance is good, not meant for awards and Tarab songs (it may) So she is ready to be a star from the looks for her new music video. I like her style and her simplicity, social media does make an appearance in her music video. So let the games begin and let the conversation begins.

Ewe production & Medo Mounib's Pause production stand behind this track for the young artist. The single is included on the Hits 9 album alongside many singles by young and bright singers. I must confess Nour is doing all the right things in Egyptian pop. I like how running out of battery can cause one to lose many things.

New Comer @Rana__Samaha Is Everywhere And It's Great!

The tall and slander recording artist Rana Samah released at least three music videos in the span of 30 days. Each of these songs tackles a different topic, and communicate a varying range of emotions. Rana is adored by her fans who are very vocal about this Egyptian artist.

Here's the latest music video from this inescapable pop star who goes on a picnic for her song as she awaits the days to pass by so that she can be reunited with her loved one. To be clear on this, no other star from Rana's peers and age groups have done as much work as she has done. She seems to spend a great deal of time inside the recording studio. She comes back with a new song and new energy and a pleasant character.

One time, you compare her to diva Angham, the other to Nancy Ajram, then to Amal Maher but you know she is none of those gifted divas. She is her own star, paving her own path and in the process conquering millions of hearts along the way. One of her boldest songs came last week whens he sang to empower women and urging them to fight for their rightful places--anywhere they desire.

I am impressed by Rana, she is prolific, and she has shown that she is active. I know many of her male peers are aggressive and this is why they get ahead, but Rana is really giving them a run for their money. We need more female artists like Rana.

The Self-Made 20 Something @M0hamedAref Keeps Making Beautiful Music

Young and sweet Egyptian singer Mohamed Aref does not need a million dollar contract to sing or to release excellent pop songs. He is happy to do it from the love of the game. This boy from Alexandria has been making a name for himself on the social media and has been getting all the right attention from the fans who come to appreciate his craft.

Few years I go, I started writing about Mohamed Aref and his new singles and every time I was impressed by his voice and choices. He credits his success and name recognition to YouTube where all his songs are to be found and enjoyed.

Aside from music, he is a student of hotel and tourism and he is only 20 years old. He also credits his mom for discovering him. At age 15 he took on singing in local clubs and parties and has even appeared on some ads. He would not sing his first song until he turned 16, he composed the music and the lyrics for his debut song. He looks up to Wael Jassar, Ahmed Saad, and to Amr Diab, but Aref maintains he is his own star and copies no one.

You Should Be Excited For Kaline Asmar @InfoMastergate

New, up and coming and dazzling Lebanese singer Kaline Asmar does not do easy. In his first major music video, you see him sporting a private jet, a fancy mention, and a rare sport car. Not to forget the lovely model-like partner awaiting his arrival at home.

Then comes the song and the news that he misses her as much as this life. Sure, he is good-looking he can say anything he wants. This is the first I hear of this pop star but I like his voice material. He is super talented and his choice of songs shows that he has the skill of a seasoned professional singer. The melody and the change of pace and styles within the song is telling about this very welcome voice from Lebanon to the world.

Asifr from his voice, the song it all his work--the lyrics and music are all his creation. Filmed in Lebanon on a lake and near the airport. This song serves Kaline's second single and in my book he is already a star.

The Funky Summer Song Arrives! Thank You @Mtmofficial1

The humor-loving band MTM is making a splash literary. The Egyptian pop band with three members releases a new song two weeks before the month of Ramadan. If you know Ramadan, then you understand the importance of washing dishes due to that one large meal and guests due to social visits. But this has nothing to do with Ramadan.

The band is singing about someone who wants to live large, talking about their wish lists of car style and the giant speakers. Guys can dream--even broke ones. A humorous song with a catchy tune filled with street language. The band left no stone upturned as they wrote this song, they covered pretty much just about everything about the Egyptian summer.

But the song keeps it real and tells the guy to go back to washing dishes. The song pokes fun of pool season, and soccer season and Facebook activities. This is a funky summer song that combines best of Western world and the Egyptian street. So now we know that the cool kids will be playing this song as they party this summer.

While MTM is not as prolific as other bands in Egypt, this songs reminds us that they are the fresh band that does have a different take on music. The Alexandria natives Mikey, Takki, Mahmoud come to lead this summer with a fun song that is actually fun to listen to. This is their comeback song after a 7 year sabbatical. Another surprise was MTM's using the same female vocalists from an iconic 90s song "Kol El Banat BitHibak"

Karim Abdo: The Outstanding 17 Year Old Rock Star

He is seventeen years old and he is already a rock star. Karim Abdo's profile rose high on the social media once he released a single whose success started the conversation about a debut music video. Karim got a song produced professionally in Lebanon and the dude got something grownup about his voice and his style.

Not sure to celebrate when a 17 year old sounds like a jaded old man, but it takes talent. Smooth and sweet accessible emotions is what sets Abdo apart from the pack. He is back swinging at his live and calling her "guilty" She is not off the hook, she broke his heart and this song puts her to shame. Pretty awesome track from a new comer whose song has already beat the million-dollar artists.

One Sexy Iraqi To Conquer Them All...Shatah Hassoun's Sin

Shatha Hassoun is a star unlike very few, and her music video attests to this much. She has shown that she is a smart pop diva who makes it hard to escape her. She releases singles, makes albums, and shoots music videos all over the Arab world--Dubai is her home, Iraqi is her native land, Morocco is her parent's country. Lebanon is where she parties and works.

The latest song from her shows some maturity with hr style. She is telling a story about an abusive home, and a good looking husband who has rage episodes. Shatha is even bold enough to play the mother part with a little girl of her own.

The couple had a good run, but now things are taking a wrong turn, and this song is pretty pleasant to the ear...it's smooth and riddled with meaning. This is a very long music video, and the end is kind of complicated--worthy of dark features.

@MohamedAlaaFans Song Dares Arab Youth Not To Do Drugs

Here's a new voice that's trying to occupy a space already occupied by so many artists. The song is about drug abuse, party, and binge drinking young people who think they are invincible. Being unemployed comes with many risks and being politically frustrated will ruin one's soul.

Meet Mohammed Alaa who seems to like to party and the the company for young ladies. The title is the last moment in one's life. Going from doing drugs to reading holy scriptures seems like an extreme. Just live your life in balance Mohamed Alaa.

I like the message, and i think a lot more people need to be as honest as Alaa here. This is a real song about a real problem facing many throughout the world in today's world. Alaa is an attorney of law by training with a smooth voice and a look of Tamer Hosny.

This is a responsible song from a young artist who knows the lifestyle he is talking about. I like it and I hope many will get its message before it's too late. There has been many anti drug abuse songs, this one tells the story better and puts on a convincing case.

@HarrisJOfficial More Than The Muslim Justin Bieber

In 2013, a young British Muslim win a singing contest and he was signed up for an album with the Awakening Records label. Two years later the album is about to bear fruit and we are about to hear what this young talent is made of.

Harris J has already performed around the world next to other stars who packed one venue after another. Now he is 18 years old and ready for prime time. I do not hear a sample of what's on the album. But I know this is a young artist with a good management team.

@Doaa_ElSebaii Aims High And Delivers Perfectly! #Schizophrenia

Here's a fresh song from a new comer, a song about bi-polar folks who have one more side. A young woman singing about how she both loves and hates people. It's a wise song from a sweet voice that we know as Doaa El-Sebaii.

Doaa competed on Star Acedemy's 10th season and this marks her return to music with a hit single that has been written by none other than the versatile lyricist Amir Taima. We do not have many of these songs pushing the envelop as they explore new themes for new stories. I like the music one hears here it's pretty international, I hear American and Latin elements that are done to perfection. I think the music is pretty neat and in fact I bet the composer will be busy for some time. I can imagine then music flying so well in the Mississippi and in Brasil or downtown Mexico City.

Even the cover art advances the song and establishes the topic. People do change and people are complicated. I like when she sings sometimes I run away from people only seconds later, she is complaining from being lonely. It's a neat little song that will help Doaa with hr fans and bring her to new lands.

Lyrics: Amir Teima, Composer: Ahmed El-Attabany, Music Arranger: Osama Samy

Well Done, Aya Abd Elraoof, Well Done!

Young and hungry artists are a dime a dozen. Aya Abd Elraoof stands out as a drop dead gorgeous singer with a lot of swag. She is talented vocally and her latest illustrates just as much. The song was released and hours later it already clocked fifty thousand views.

Released in time for Spring celebrations, the surprise was that she was able to work with A-list lyricist Nadir Nour. Her song is about lovers who take after their loved one and they behave of become the same person. This is a cool little area to sing about, she sounds like a bird with a broken wing here.

Aya's strong voice was shaped back when she used to do opera songs in Egypt prior to her thrust into the pop world.  Yes, she made a name for herself when she took part of Star Academy years ago.

The Syrian Arab Idol Is About To Break Out! Hazem Sharif...Soon

The shy and good-looking young Syrian man who bagged the title for Arab Idol third season is about to release a new music video with a new song. Hazem Sharif just toured North America in a humble tour, but he has no original song to his name. He is about ti change that in a romantic song that is landing to planet earth soon.

Sure Syria is a mess right now, but it does not mean life has to stop inside it or outside. I like the one second we get to hear part of the song. Hazem is talented, he just needs to speak up and push himself a bit. Maybe this song will make him a star and maybe it won't. Hazem is no machine, but he has the voice to please your soul. The persona has yet to be defined, so let's wait and see.
