Less than a month ago, beloved Arab Idol Mohammed Assaf went inside a refugee camp inside Lebanon to film his latest music video--a folkloric flavored Palestinian song. Walking through the narrow streets of the camp was tough for a star larger than life--he is a hero for so many who see him as one of their own to break out despite all odds.
It was so hard for the artist to work on filming his song due to the fans who rioted demanding to see their idol--he did speak to them and shared a day with them. Assaf's team chose Bourj el Barajneh, a Palestinian refugee camp located in the southern suburbs of Beirut, in Lebanon.
Access to these camps are restricted and if you are not from there, do not even try to get in. This seems like a riot song for parties and weddings meant for a hot summer. It might be Assaf going back to his roots.
