Marita Hallani: Like Father Like Daughter

Marita Hallani is the daughter of seasoned Lebanses singer Assi Hallani and now she is getting ready for her moment in the spotlight. But she is not doing it alone, she is celebrating her own father and declaring her love for her old man--he is not that old. It's a light song, it sounds like a karaoke song, the voice is a work in progress.

This is a smart move to introduce a young voice to an already established network of fans and professional. This is a sweet song for parents and Lebanon, fathers day was last weekend. Not sure if this son will be picked by radios in Arabia, but it might play in those kiddie TV networks.

Marita is not the first daughter of a singer to release a song, there are many, but this year we saw Fadel Shaker's son release a cute song for his teachers on teachers day. Those are tribute songs to people who have took us under their wings. Marita however says the name of her father in her song, making it personal.
