Putting a dozen of promising young and charismatic voices through the program of singing, acting, training and all the jazz can be daunting, but some find it entertaining.

Star Academy has a long list of successful stars who have translated their popularity into commercial success and releasing albums that sold big. There are also the disappointments and failures. But one thing ramins clear, Star Academy is the most watched TV production in the Arab World, it's the American Idol of Arabia, and advertisers adore it.

So many journalists and reporters cover this show and news articles, footage, rumors and controversies are a daily affair. something is different this year. The Arab world of 2011 is not the same of last year. We are more glued to the news and worried about the change and the revolutions sweeping through the Arab world. Will this season be a big hit? No doubt it will be followed, but will it make as much news this year?
