Hosny Mubarak has been called many names in his 50 years of public service, but I bet you would never have seen this one coming. Ready for this? He was an extra in a very old movie starring Kamal Al Shenawy. A very odd news that was never published before and the movie has been redacted and banned from being shown since 1981.
The film was produced in 1956 Wada'an Fil Fajir, Goodbye at Dusk, and Hosny's role was to play as an air force officer giving instructions to the pilot about to go on a mission. While the role is non speaking, but you can see a young Mubarak in command.
This is interesting in so many ways, Mubarak was an air force pilot and that's how he started his career, how he ended it was the problem. What would have happened if Mubarak chose to be an actor instead of politics?
