Rakan, The Jersey Shore of Dubai

Rakan has one thing good for him, he is the coolest celebrity name in Arabia, it's just one word and you get the idea who you are making reference to. This Gulf singer has no time to make old school music like most of the singers in this region are inclined to doing. He took on singing at the tender age of 4 and his parents never tried to stop him. He is a Saudi, but his work takes him outside of that land.

When you have the hip persona, and cool hair style, and the exotic look you can afford to take chance. In 2010 releasing an album of that sold thousands of copies as the fans are in look out for for some new material and a new star to buy into. He had one Egyptian song and another Algerian, but the rest was in the Gulf dialect. Rakan did that and give them fresh content with some old and new music.

Rakan is back working on a new music video on what appears to be Dubai, the Arab Vegas. From the look behind the scenes, there are some fast car drifting, some models, cool pros and plenty of hip fashion like they were on the streets of LA. Till Rakan came along those things were saved for rappers and pop artists, Rakan is dipping his tow into the cool world and filming his song 3aneed, Stubborn. Extra credit for the director who talks like he is form the hood.
