Singer of The Egyptian Revolution is Tortured

One of the protesters in Tahrir Square happened to be Rami Essam, a young Egyptian man who can sing and play a mean guitar. Throughout the Stand off @ Tahrir Square for 19 days Ramy has been spotted performing songs and entertaining the protesters with this smooth guitar.

This young man had a close encounter with some elements of the Egyptian security force who had it in for him and tortured the living hell out of him. He was tortured near the Egyptian museum in a security booth right behind that historic building. He is accusing members of the Egyptian army to have conducted the torture on March 9th, 2011 the day the army took him and beat him up.

See his description of how this encounter took place and how those tugs went to town on this singer. Some graphic images. The first one minutes is a profile on Ramy music, the last minute and half is interviewing him about the incident where he was electrocuted courtesy of the army.
