Marcel Khalifa: In the Presence Of Legends

He is a world famous Arab musician who has always had a soft spot in his heart for justice and activism. His music in the 80s inspired many Arabs particularly Lebanese and Palestinians. Marcel Khalifa has always chosen the little guy in his life and his music he is loved by those particular.

He sang many poems namely by late Palestinian poet Mahmoud Darwish who gave his best words to a man who gave his best music and performance to those true to life words. Selling concert halls around the globe has never been an issue for this musician, he can sell his concerts anytime he wants to perform.

Western musicians and composers respect him and know of his work, Arab composers aspire to reach his status. But As someone who say Marcel Khalifa in many concerts in North America, he does a lot more music and less singing. His orchestra does wonders and soon his two sons will be taking on the world on their own to show us what they have learned from growing in the Marcel household.
