The lead actors who were the most vocal among their friends during the Egyptian revolution are not done yet. Basma, Khalid Abu Al Naga and Asir Yasseen, the three mainstream actors who supported the revolution form day one and took part of protests on daily basis and camped out in Tahrir till their demands were met are now making a new call.
There are asking the army in a very touching videos to release all the political prisoners that were picked off the street during the 19 day protest. This is a very effective video. They have a name of an actual person that was picked up on the 27th of January and was sentenced to five years in prison. This Amro did nothing wrong, he was just taking part of the protest.
This is a very sober call from young men and women who care for their fellow protesters and want to bring justice. I think it's a good move to make one person as the mascot to represent hundreds of people who went to jail in similar circumstances. Th salute these actors for taking the time to lead this campaign and voice their concerns, and most importantly for being respectful of the army.
