Here's a tip, if you want to make a big song, you would have to do more than call it a big song. It has to actually live up to the promise by delving a good experience.

Getting young guns to perform might work, if these names have chemistry or if their names match up well together. Three voices from three Arab countries lined up to do this song. the first from Tunisia, the second from Egypt and the third form Libya. The female voice goes to The Tunisian performance.

I think this is largely a dead song, the music turned it into a ghost town, the walking dead. The slow speed and the crying voices, do not help....see how many hits this song got--not many 320!

Weak, this song was made as a favor for some young guns who thought they would make it big. They sure mean well, but this is not the song to do it with.

Bellydance With Shiva From The Exile

Nothing more orientalists that the belly dancing, the exotic dance and sometimes skimpy outfits rock the world of those forefingers who seem to enjoy this dance more so than the locals themselves.

So, it makes a lot more sense that most of the dancers in this profession are non Arabs. With the exception of the few poor pockets in Cairo, few people make a living out of those profession. This is a video of a Canadian lady who has taken up belly dancing. She was 19 years at the time of this video. She is Persian Bellydancer, with drops of Azerbaijani and Egyptian in my blood. Many times, I go to Arabic restaurants, or hookah lounges only to be treated with some belly dancer who is there to get things moving. While dudes, seem to be confused and always looking around the room for cues about the protocol. Arabs encourage the dancer, the females talk smack about her.

This is pop art, it's not just music, it's a crash course in Arabic culture. From sharing food with next door neighbors, riding in a cab with a weird looking driver, and kids programs. There is rage too and humor in Ahmed Mekky style. There's also a hint of religion too. I think Ahmed is one of the most gifted entertainer Arabia has seen in a really long time.
